The Best Adjustable Swaybar End Links for Your Mazda

Do you need to replace your swaybar end links and want an upgrade at the same time or are looking to adjust your sway bar to better match the factory position on your lowered car? That’s where the Performance Adjustable End Links come in and they are now available for the following models: 2019+ Mazda 3, 2014-2018 Mazda 3, 2021+ CX-30, 2022+ CX-50, 2014+ Mazda 6, 2013+ CX-5, 2016+ CX-9, and 2006-2007 Mazdaspeed 6. Depending on your specific application, both front and rear end links are available. The new CS Adjustable End Links build off of the wildly popular kit available for the Mazdaspeed 3 and carry over all the same benefits which are discussed below.

Mazda Adjustable End Links

Why You Need End Links

Getting straight to the main advantage of the CS end links is their variable length. The CS end links offer ~18mm or 0.70in of adjustability. This results in an end link that can be up to 9mm longer or 9mm shorter when compared to the stock part.

If your car is lowered, our end links allow you to account for the change in sway bar position that occurs when you lower your car so it can be placed closer to its original position. When the sway bar is not positioned in the OE location it can lead to sway bar preload or binding which can have negative effects on handling. This also means that if you are planning on adding a lift they can help in the same way.

Installed Adjustable End Links

Quality Matters

The construction of the end links also maintains the same high quality as found in the current end links for the MazdaSpeed 3. The center section is CNC machined out of 2011-T3 5/8in hex aluminum to provide a large increase in size over the OE part while being easily adjusted to your specified length with a wrench. After machining, the center section then gets anodized in black to provide a finish that will help protect it from corrosion.

The included ball joints feature a sealed design to reduce the chance of water or other foreign material from gaining access to the joint. This allows the ball joint to provide a longer service life so that it won’t require any additional maintenance compared to the OE end links.

Mazda Adjustable End Links

With the long new list of applications, you should have no problem finding a set of CS adjustable end links that will fit your Mazda. Be sure to head over to the product listing for your specific model for more info and pictures. As always, reach out if you have any questions about the end links for your setup.

See Daniel’s 600+ WHP Mazdaspeed 6 Build Part 1

Hey everyone, this is Daniel, one of the engineers at CS. In case you don’t know me (I’m quiet on socials, but I’m working on that!) I’ve been with CorkSport since the middle of 2017, so I’ve probably had my hands on any product released in the last five years. For example, the exhaust manifold for the Mazdaspeeds was my baby for a while, and I’m still super proud of how it turned out. In this blog, I’ll be going through my Speed 6 build. It has been a long time coming, but it is finally getting close to how I want it!

I got my MS6 back in January of 2018. It was a bone stock 2007 Sport with ~68k miles, but I got a decent deal due to some scratches/dings from the previous owner’s kids. I was familiar with the Speed6 because a high school buddy bought one shortly after we graduated, so I had been looking off and on since I started at CS. Since we didn’t have one in the fleet at CS then, and I wanted the AWD, it was an excellent fit for me. In typical speed fashion, I got a check engine light on the ~2-hour drive home from where I bought it! Clearing the CEL would require an EGR cleaning before I could register it, but I was still in love, despite the stock wheels & monster truck ride height.

Mazdaspeed 6 project build
Daniel’s Mazdaspeed 6 Before Modifications

From humble beginnings, the modifications started slowly. The first six months were the “basics”; HPFP internals, downpipe, exhaust, lowering springs, upgraded TMIC, and plasti-dipped stock wheels. I was still surviving on the stock intake and using the OTS tunes on the Cobb Accessport – standard new Mazdaspeed owner things. I completed a VVT replacement at around 70K miles as the chain started hitting the valve cover, but then things started getting interesting.

Just before the 1-year of ownership, my stock K04 turbo began smoking as expected. Being the only Mazdaspeed 6 at CS meant my car was in the shop off and on for R&D, so I took advantage of one of the early exhaust manifold test fits to throw in a CST4 Mazdaspeed Turbo (still known as the “CS 18G turbo” back then), a 3.5” intake (with a custom & very early prototype of the Mazdaspeed 51R battery box), a few other supporting mods, and some special sauce from Erik @ Dramatuned. So just before my car’s birthday, it was FBO minus manifolds. Somewhere in there, I was also the guinea pig for the CorkSport 330mm Big Brake Kit on the MS6 (still one of my favorite mods to date) and some wheel spacers to clear.

2019 was a bunch more R&D for the Mazdaspeed 6 platform. I spent a few months driving around without a front bumper during the MS6 Front Mount Intercooler development! Then came some even more fun stuff. I was able to snag some early production run intake manifold and exhaust manifold along with an EWG setup (Exhaust Manifold, Tial, and Dumptube). Finally, I was “full bolt-on” and completed tuning. While its v-dyno was a little overestimated, here’s an idea of power to expect for a similar setup on pump gas (red line) and on a couple of E mixes (the blue line was E30, green was E25). Ethanol is worth it!

After having gone through most of the CorkSport catalog for power mods, I began to do a few aesthetic mods, which is where the “SPDBOAT” plate came in, a simple play on Mazdaspeed and how heavy and “boaty” the cars can feel at times. It’s dumb, but I love it! Also came some miscellaneous mods. An upgraded rear sway bar, diff mount, as well as the transfer case, and rebuild with billet bearing caps all were added.

By birthday number two, a long-awaited wheel setup was introduced. Initially, I ordered a set of Gram Lights that would’ve fit without too much effort. However, after many issues and shipping delays, I canceled that order and went something much more aggressive. I settled on 18×9.5 Enkei GTC01RR wheels on a 255/40 tire. I was going for meaty with this setup, and it looks great. After a fender roll all around, camber, and spacers in the front to clear brakes, final offsets are +35 front, +42 rear with ~2.5 degrees of negative camber. There’s only so much wheel and tire you can fit without more intense modifications, but the handling boost was amazing!

I ran the car on this setup for another year. This configuration was a great “all-rounder,” and I loved it. Not perfect at any specific thing, but a great daily that’s fun in the corners, decent enough to go to a show, and with enough power to do well on the occasional trip to “Mexico.” But then, it started consuming oil. Just after my third year with the car (early 2021 for those keeping track), I found cylinder four down about 40psi of compression and cylinder 1 with about 20% leak down. Still working fine, but eating about of quart of oil every ~600 miles meant it was time for a rebuild.

While I hate to leave on a cliffhanger, that’s the end of part 1. Stay tuned for part 2, where things get spicy, including a built motor, a bigger turbo, and a broken bone…?

I hope you enjoyed my tale, and please let me know if you have any questions. By now, I know more than I need to about the MazdaSpeed 6!

The CS Stainless Steel Brake Lines offer the benefits of providing a more responsive and communicative brake pedal feel. This is due to the use of stainless steel in the construction of brake lines. The CS Brake Lines start with a PTFE inner liner that gets surrounded by a stainless steel braid which is responsible for controlling expansion in the line when force is applied to the brake pedal. This better control of expansion leads to an improved braking feel over the OEM lines, which gives you more confidence when reaching the limit. The CS Brake lines are finished off in a PVC coating over the stainless steel braid to help protect the line from road debris and ensure they will not get damaged easily.

New CorkSport IWG & EWG Turbo Blanket Produced From Volcanic Rock!

Have you been running a CorkSport IWG or EWG turbo for a while now or just picked one up? Well if you have upgraded to a CS Mazdspeed turbo then we are excited to offer the CorkSport Turbo Blanket that works with whichever setup you are running. The CS Turbo Blanket will help protect surrounding components under your hood and increase the efficiency and performance of your CS turbo. Scroll down for more details on how the CorkSport Turbo Blanket will make your Mazdaspeed even better.

Mazdaspeed turbo blanket installed

The most important aspect of any turbo blanket is the material that it is made out of. The CS Turbo Blanket utilizes an outer material made of volcanic lava rock that is manufactured into a fabric that has a direct contact temperature rating of 1800°F and can withstand radiant heat temperatures up to 2500°F. The CS Turbo Blanket also features an internal layer of calcium magnesium silicate wool that works as an insulator that can withstand continuous temperatures of 1832°F and peak temperatures of 2300°F. This inner insulating layer is held in with high temp stainless steel mesh to further improve durability and makes sure the CS Turbo Blanket can hold up in the most demanding situations.

Product photo for the Mazdaspeed turbo blanket

Next up is the design of the CorkSport Turbo Blanket which we are offering in configurations for both IWG and EWG CS turbos ranging from the CST4 Turbo to the CST6 Turbocharger. The CS Turbo Blankets were designed so that they cover the most amount of the turbine housing as they can to provide the best insulation performance. The CS Turbo Blanket also comes equipped with stainless steel springs that hold the blanket tight to the turbo so the installation of the blanket is made quick and can be easily done on the Mazdaspeed. This also applies to the removal of the blanket so you don’t have to bother with undoing the wire if you ever need to take off the turbo blanket.

Now with the turbine housing being covered with the CS Turbo Blanket, how does it help the performance and efficiency of your Mazdaspeed turbo?  The basic idea is that since less heat is allowed to escape from the turbine housing, the heat and energy are instead transferred into the exhaust turbine which reduces the time it takes to spool the turbo, making it more efficient. It also helps keep the compressor side of the turbo cooler since the heat is being retained in the exhaust system and away from the compressor or top mount intercooler which leads to colder boost air temps and the potential for more power. Another bonus of containing the heat from the turbine housing is that other nearby components in the engine bay also benefit from the lower operating temperatures seen when using the turbo blanket.
