2005-2007 Mazdaspeed 6 Downpipe

Get maximum turbo performance and dramatically increase torque with the Mazdaspeed 6 Power Series Downpipe. The CorkSport downpipe has been expertly designed to replace the restrictive element in the Mazdaspeed 6 stock downpipe. Mandrel bent piping is used to create smooth exhaust flow for dramatic increases in power. During initial testing, the CorkSport Mazdaspeed 6 Downpipe showed power gains of 26 horsepower and 32 ft. lbs. of torque at the wheels.

For lasting corrosion resistance and reduced heat transfer to the engine bay, the CorkSport MS6 downpipe uses polished 3" 304 stainless steel and features TIG welds that offer superior arc and weld puddle control for a cleaner appearance and precise weld bead control.

The CorkSport Advantage:
  • Minimal exhaust flow restriction: Gains in power up to 26 WHP when installed on otherwise stock Mazdaspeed 6
  • Polished 3" 304 stainless steel piping for corrosion resistance and reduced heat transfer
  • Unique Divorced Waste-gate Design: Reduces exhaust flow disturbances related to waste-gate operation and boost spikes
  • Mandrel bent for a smooth exhaust flow and solid power increases
  • TIG welds for a stronger more seamless connection
  • Genuine CorkSport Look: Stylish etched stainless steel CorkSport logo plate
  • CorkSport Service and Support: Receive a 2 year warranty, full color installation instructions, all of the needed installation hardware, and knowledgeable telephone installation support
Catted Downpipe Option*
  • Add the catted option with racepipe: Includes a high-flow metallic flexible catalytic converter and CorkSport Power Series Racepipe.

Non-Catted Downpipe

Catted Downpipe

I purchased this down pipe cause the price compared to eBay and other speed stores was dead middle and I'm aware of Cork Sports quality from my last product. it 's clearance was great but when bolting to the exhaust at the low point it didn't match up to the flange nor did the exhaust donut fit. So i had to take my car to an exhaust shop to fix a new flange and bolt kit and reangle to exhaust to fit. love the product now just dissapointed oin the fitment. possibly just my car but id hate to have this happen to some one else

Great product, iffy fitting, I highly recommend if your willing to go until its perfect.
Question, with the downpipe will it fit with a CTS5 or CTS6 turbo?

- Yes it will. - Corksport
Another fantastic quality product from Cork Sport! Couldn't be happier with this modification... well maybe it could be a bit louder. ;)
Awesome product, instructions were very clear and it makes for an awesome upgrade. However my only issue was getting my O2 sensor removed, but outside of that it makes for a deep and aggressive sound for my Mazdaspeed 6
Nicely crafted piece and appears to do what it says for power. I have no dyno figures to compare but it feels like the turbo spools up much faster. The install was pretty simple once you wrestle the big honkin' stock DP out. I have two problems/concerns:

1. The stock cat-back has a flange that is not completely flat. The flat flange on the DP left huge gaps and I had to grind the cat-back flange down do that the gasket would actually make contact. Maybe CS should come up with a different flange or a gasketed insert to mate with the stock exhaust.

2. Seriously, pointing the second O2 sensor downwards? That was not a brilliant design idea. My brand new sensor was promptly destroyed at the first race. I had a shop weld in a new bung that points the sensor upwards so that it's not the lowest point on the car. I expected more for the price I paid.
Let me save you research that you are going to do for no reason on this product...

If you are looking at it right now, just BUY IT!

Amazing product, amazing quality, beautiful welds, and sounds WONDERFUL.
Amazing downpipe. The power gains are worth every cent. But I noticed I have a rubbing issue in between the cross member and the side wastegate tube.
Very amazing product! I had it hooked to my stock CBE, and it didn't effect the sound much, but oh boy my butt dyno felt it. Paired of with the CBE system, it will make you smile every time you get on the on ramp!
do u have the power series downpipe for a mazdaspeed6 on stock? also it is a bolt on?

CorkSport Reply:The downpipe is currently in stock. It is a bolt on part.
Great product once again from CorkSport. Installation is a breeze compared to how hard it is to get the stock down Down pipe out from the engine bay. I would highly recommend a set of tools that let the bolt pass through though as it is incredibly hard to reach behind the down pipe to tighten that last bolt. Overall great performance and a more aggressive exhaust note :).

How does this divorced downpipe affect (if any) the flow in this section if I’m running EWG from my manifold and blocking it off on the turbo?

I've run into issues with the speed 3's version of this divorced DP and the bnr s3 turbo's flapper smacked the inside so it was unusable. Will i encounter the same issue in a speed 6 with a bnr s4? Or is it only designed for the small K04 flapper in mind?

I’ve Already bought your test pipe to eliminate the unmonitored secondary cat converter. Is this high flow cat getting monitored by the primary or secondary 02 sensor? Do I need to buy the one with the high flow cat and pull your independently purchased test pipe? I cannot have a CEL due to not the correct cat in place. Thanks!!

I have already purchased this non catted downpipe and love it. i am looking to upgrade my turbo and my question is, will the non catted racepipe work ok with the CST4 drop in turbo upgrade? I have read that divorced downpipe's can cause issues with the internal wastegates?

Does this downpipe fit a stock 2006 MS6? Since the stock diameter is not 3'. If no, what other mods I need to put this downpipe on? And what is the difference between the short one and the long one? Thank you so much.

your race pipe says its not for the street and only for track so why say we can by the catted down pipe with the race pipe ? what would be the point in having the catted down pipe if the race pipe is illegal

This downpipe has no cat between the two 02 sensors, but in a previous question you said it would pass a plug in check, how does that work, since that cat is the monitored one?

I have a SU test pipe installed with a custom CBE, will the CS shorty downpipe fit my current setup? Also, can you confirm there is no CEL's associated with the install of this downpipe? Thanks for your time (and products!).

Will this pass California SMOG Inspection? Is there a C.A.R.B. exempt sticker included?

The stock exhaust system has two cats, right? When installing your High Flow Cat Downpipe with Racepipe, do you end up with one or two cats? Liking performance and trying to be a friend to the environment, I'm looking for a low-pollution performance solution, presumably with two high-flow cats or one really good one. Are you selling what I'm seeking?
