Dear Car Guy: Engaging with the CS Fam

Dear Car Guy,

I was admiring how different all of your rides are. As a general statement, there are lots of ways to make your baby unique and personalize it to your style. At CorkSport, we try to do the same thing with our brand, our name and our reputation.

We love when we hear back from you that weโ€™ve done great things with customer service:

  • Following up with your questions via email, phone calls, Facebook, forums, and face to face.
  • Sending out a little bit a joy with some of your packages.
  • Supporting you when something goes wrong and keeping in touch throughout your order fulfillment.
  • And just being a part of the conversations that happen within the Mazda platform.

We want (and try) to get you to engage with us too!

You frequentlyย make us laugh by tellingย a joke or letting us know what youโ€™re thinking inย the comment section that comes with your order.

WE LOVE HEARING FROM YOU and often we find a fun way to show you that we read your note, joke, sarcasm, or saw that you had a question.

Here are some of my favorites from recent months:

Jennifer sent out a โ€œfewโ€ valentines to bring a smile and some happiness when you opened your order:

Our shipping team drew on some of your packages:

We sent out some extra goodies for you and your loved ones:

And we even shared a little bit of Mazda historyย with you!

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! It makes the day go by that much faster and gives us an opportunity to really connect with you and figure out what we can do to best serve you and your ride! Weโ€™re here to help by bringing knowledge, parts, supplies, support, and hopefully good-natured humor and joy every once in a while!

ALWAYS leave a comment in your order. The more original you are with your notes, the more fun we can have in return!

Thanks for passing along the joy! Stay safe, stay fast, stay happy!

A DIY Mazda Maintenance Infographic for You

Guys, we know you know how to take care of your Mazda.

If you’re mechanical enough to mod your baby out, you’ve probably been changing oil filters since you were yea high *hovers hand about two inches off the ground*

That said, we also know there are a lot of noobs just getting into Mazda maintenance, and that even the best driversย among us don’t always know how much it pays off to take care of your Mazda yourself.

So, to illustrate the point (and a helluva lot of statistics), we created this handy Mazda maintenance infographic. In the small chance you’re not already doing these Mazda fixes yourself, you should be; and in the big chance that you are a DIY Mazda guy, here’s a nice graphic to share with all your new Mazda driver friends.

So, behold, the DIY Mazda maintenance you better be doing if you consider yourself a car guy:

We know you know DIY Mazda maintenance, but a nice, clean Mazda infographic never hurt anyone, right?

Cheers,

CorkSport

Top 5 Tips for Family Roadtrips in your Mazda

Dear Car Guy,

Hope this finds you well and enjoying the switch in seasons.

Wanted to give a shout-out to all of you Car Guyโ€™s that are also Family Guyโ€™s! Youโ€™re THAT guy that keeps his car clean regardless of the amount of french fries and jelly bellyโ€™s that are left on the seat after youโ€™ve removed the car seat. Youโ€™re also the guy that gets to load everyone in your AWESOME ride because itโ€™s highly likely that your wife hasnโ€™t cleaned out her car in what seems like decades. So the dog, the kids and the luggage all get to replace your sound system in the back for the weekend as you go off to visit family for the upcoming holidays.

Here are some tips, since I know youโ€™re always into life-hacks that keep your car in pristine condition, and to make your extended car rides a little bit more tolerable with family!

#1. Lay down plastic. NoCar Wrap Kidding!

Grab some painterโ€™s plastic and lay it over your seats with holes for the seatbelts, and youโ€™re less likely for spills to stain and cause a permanent mess. Not to mention when youโ€™re done with the trip, be it out trick-or-treating, or heading to be with family for the weekend, you can just scoop up the dirt, broken crayons, half eaten suckers and candy wrappers all at once. Better yet, if you can convince the screaming kids and wife, donโ€™t let anyone eat in the car ๐Ÿ˜‰ If you have toโ€ฆ Hereโ€™s an idea: https://diningwithalice.com/twin-cities-live/travel-snacks-for-kids/

#2. Travel the road less traveled.

Those winding twisting, exciting roads will rock the kids and screaming tots to sleep (if youโ€™re lucky, the wife too!). Leaving You with nothing but the wheel, the road, and some thinking time. (Please be careful with these roads as the weather gets worse). I love this way, even if it takes 20 minutes longer, itโ€™s worth it for the silence and fun.

#3. Use your coats (full sized adults) and zip them over the front seats.

Keeping the little feet from leaving foot prints and stains on the back of your seats. Or use something like this: Seatback Protector

Seat Cover

#4. Put a full size towel, in a plastic bag and leave it in the wheel well of your spare tire.

This would be perfect for the unexpected messes or dogs that run off into the lake. We all know that someone will have an accident, spill a drink, forget a favorite blanket, or will inevitably fall into the only mud puddle seen for miles. Be prepared for our furry friends it always seems like it was on purpose!

#5. Embrace the show tunes, itโ€™s highly likely your kids are into some form of musical torture.

If you just embrace it and sing along theyโ€™re less likely to want to continue with that soundtrack. What better than the voice of Dad over the โ€œFrozenโ€ theme song to annoy the kids, or a great rendition of Miley Cyrus screamed in your best falsetto. Unless youโ€™re into the same song on repeatโ€ฆ.

HIMYM

Donโ€™t worry, weโ€™ve taken these ideas from the Dadโ€™s here, and they really work. So find a way to โ€œLet it goโ€, and yet still protect your favorite โ€˜babyโ€™ from your beloved brood.

Stay Safe, Stay happy, and Enjoy the ride!!
