Looking to take your CX-50 off-roading or camping but want some extra visibility? The CorkSport Hood Light Brackets can help! Easily add mounting for auxiliary LED pod lighting located near the corners of your hood. Also called “ditch light” brackets, you can install spotlights for better forward visibility or flood lights can be aimed outwards for better peripheral visibility. We designed these brackets specifically for the CX-50 to ensure a simple installation with no drilling or trimming required. The CorkSport Advantage

Fitment Focused:

The CorkSport hood light brackets were carefully designed around the tight clearances of the CX-50. The brackets attach at the hood mounting bolts and fit in the small gap between the wiper cowl and hood with no trimming or drilling. The mounting location itself offers just enough clearance to the wipers and hood while being extremely low profile to keep the lights out of the line of sight as much as possible. Without lights installed, the brackets are basically invisible from the driver’s seat!

Functionality Focused:

Even with the tight clearances to fit the ditch light brackets, we optimized them for functionality. You are able to open your hood fully without issue. The main mounting holes will fit 8mm or 5/16” hardware, so you are free to install your choice of lights. Using a basic hole also means you have plenty of adjustability for light aiming. The brackets even have zip tie holes pre-cut to ensure neat wiring!

Materials & Manufacturing:

The CS CX-50 hood light brackets are made from CNC laser-cut 11 gauge steel. They are precision-formed for perfect fitment before being powder coated in wrinkle black. The powder coating not only looks great but will withstand the elements and keep the brackets looking fresh and sturdy for years to come. We even included a CS logo on each bracket for a final touch.

Optional Light Package:

To pair perfectly with the CorkSport brackets, we offer Rigid D-Series light pods. The kit comes with two pod lights in your choice of spot for better distance visibility or flood for better fog and/or peripheral visibility. Both kits come with a full wiring harness and switch for a relatively simple installation.

If using lights other than Rigid D-Series, clearance to hood and clearance to windshield when the hood is open will need to be verified.
If using lights other than Rigid D-Series, mounting hardware fitment with the driver’s side wiper arm will need to be verified.
Use of drive-through/automatic car washes may move/bend/affect the mounted pod lights; auto car wash use at your own risk.
Installation instructions cover bracket & light mounting but do not cover wiring in full detail. If you are not comfortable with basic wiring, you may need to seek assistance to complete it.
Installation of the light switch will require some interior disassembly. Depending on your kit, you may also need to drill a hole for switch installation.
Install Time: 30min for brackets only; 3 hours for brackets and lights with wiring.
Install Difficulty: 1/5 for brackets only; 3/5 for brackets and lights with wiring.
