Fit, Function, & Performance:

The Mazda CX50 2.5L SkyActiv Turbo Engine was the main focus for the design of this CorkSport Short Ram Intake. The kit integrates a precision machined billet aluminum MAF housing, laser cut mounting bracket, reinforced laminar flow silicone elbow and high flow dry-element air filter to achieve the quality fit and performance that is achieved with the CS SRI.

Sound:

From the factory, the stock air box leaves room on the table to improve the overall driving experience of your Mazda CX50 Turbo. One of these key areas includes the sound you hear from your engine. The CorkSport Performance Intake unleashes satisfying noises from your turbo and bypass valve which leads to a smile on your face every time you go for a drive.

Bolt On Performance:

The improved flow and efficiency gained from the CS Short Ram Intake contribute to an additional 5-16whp and 7-23wtq can be achieved with no tuning or check engine lights.

Precision Machined:

The CorkSport MAF housings are machined out of 6061-T6 billet aluminum using a CNC to maintain tight tolerances. It is important to achieve this level of precision because the MAF sensor is responsible for capturing the amount of air flowing into the engine and is crucial to achieve proper air fuel ratios and drivability.

Laminar Flow:

The main reason behind the increase in performance from the performance air intake is attributed to the decrease in turbulence in the intake. This is achieved by replacing the OEM ribbed intake elbow which has a varying internal size, with a smooth 4-ply reinforced silicone elbow. This change helps reduces turbulence which results in increased power and efficiency.

Dry-Flow Filter:

Keeping unwanted debris out of the engine is critical to ensure reliable and long-lasting performance. For this reason, the Mazda CX50 Turbo Short Ram Intake system includes a 3.5” Dry-Flow Air Filter to provide excellent filtration and airflow that is also washable and reusable.
