The CorkSport Advantage

Sound Upgrade:

The CorkSport Cat-back exhaust system completely removes all OEM pipes and mufflers and replaces it with our 63.5mm (2.5in) mandrel bent Stainless Steel pipes and two pass-through resonators. Our larger pipes and resonators add a great sound and tone while eliminating drone and staying comfortable for daily commuting.

We tested multiple resonator setups in both the axle back and mid-pipe sections. We found that the asymmetric axle back design and large oval resonator in the mid-pipe results in a great combination of tone, volume, and drone control for your vehicle.

OEM Fitment:

Our exhaust systems are designed to fit just like your OEM setup. Whether your CX50 is Turbocharged or not, with or without cylinder deactivation, our complete system will fit onto your car just like a factory part - in this case better!

In our testing, we found that Mazda allowed some manufacturing inconsistencies in their OEM exhaust components. Unfortunately, the OEM exhaust from one CX50 may or may not fit correctly on another CX50 and vice-versa, so WE FIXED THAT for you!

Our new “ball & socket” connection between the mid-pipe and axle-back sections eliminates this issue and allows for maximum adjustment to ensure the perfect fit.

Cylinder Deactivation:

If your Mazda CX50 is equipped with cylinder deactivation, don’t worry; we have a solution for you. Utilizing a bracket made out of 304 stainless steel, you can mount your cylinder deactivation motor securely out of the way to ensure no check engine lights are set and also reduce the restriction caused by the factory internal valve.

Using our unique dual wall slant cut tips, the CorkSport exhaust enhances the sexy, aggressive lines of the CX-50. The 100mm (4in) OD tips fill the bumper cutouts tightly, helping keep great ground clearance and departure angles.

Materials and Manufacturing:

The CorkSport Cat-Back exhaust is made from fully polished, mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel piping for an outstanding look that will brave the elements and keep your CX50 breathing easy.

Each connection point uses TIG welds for durable strength and all hanger locations have additional bracing to ensure a secure exhaust for years to come. Lastly, your exhaust comes with all hardware and gaskets required for installation.

Axleback Fitment: In our testing, we found that Mazda has allowed some manufacturing inconsistencies in its OEM exhaust components. As a result, we redesigned our exhaust to this new V2 version with an adjustable “ball & socket” flange to compensate for these disparities. Please refer to the installation instructions for more details.
NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) in the cabin of your vehicle will be increased by the installation of this exhaust. We highly recommend you view the above video to hear the exhaust note inside and outside the vehicle.
The Catback exhaust does fit with the factory Mazda Tow Hitch. Fitment with other brands of tow hitch has not been confirmed.

Original v1 (No Longer Sold) Advisory Notes for Reference Only

In our testing, we found that Mazda allowed some OEM manufacturing inconsistencies of the OEM exhaust components. As such, the OEM exhaust from one CX50 may or may not fit correctly on another CX50 and vice-versa.
Due to Mazda's inconsistencies between vehicles; this may result in slight axle back and tip misalignment on some vehicles. Function, noise, reliability, etc. are not affected and as a result, returns will not be accepted.
Installing the CorkSport Cat-Back Exhaust V1 may require additional care to correctly position each section of the exhaust for optimal fitment.
The V1 exhaust can only be sold & installed as a Cat-Back Setup.
A V2 design is being developed (to accommodate Mazda's inconsistencies) that allows further adjustability in the CS exhaust install and will be available summer of 2024.
