I just got my new short shifter and i was wondering if im able to run the lowest possible throw (top hole, row 2,) without a shortshifter plate? It feels like the shift cables bind up or the gear shift is not in the correct position and i was just wondering if the plate was absolutely needed to get the shortest throw

What is the thread pattern of the shifter? I bought a new shift knob but none of the adapters seem to fit so I want to make sure I have the right size in mind before buying more

Just curious if there has been any adjustments or modifications to the shifter recently. I have seen a lot of post talking about the alignment and how it’s off to the left or how it’s doesn’t sit in the same neutral spot as OE. Thanks, Tyler

So I purchased this short shifter and only heard good things! But have not installed yet because I'm scared I'll break the retainer clip.. I know it says use a pick tool and flat head but still feel as if I'll break it.. anyone have any other suggestions?

This is a must have upgrade for your car. I had the short shift plate, and ran into an issue with Ball and nut coming loose. The install was pretty straight forward with the supplied instructions. And really enjoy the short shifts again. Sloppiness is gone when I shift, and feel more comfortable shifting.

I bought the short shifter last week and just got around to install it, but this thing is amazing. When I shift it is smooth and accurate. I love the height of it as well. I installed it under 30 min so I was on the road and ready to go. I definitely recommend this product. Great Job Corksport!!!

Definitely a dramatic improvement over the OEM shifter, especially when considering the price. Corksport has done an amazing job with this mod and the quality you'd expect is very much apparent. Installation was straight forward, adjustments to the shifter can be done quickly and cater to any driver's preference. Excellent job Corksport, now how about a performance steering wheel for us Genpu owners.

You can really feel the difference between this one and the OEM one. Haven't drove the car much with it but I tested it and is just amazing how it works.

I have had most setups available for the speeds on my first gen and now my second gen. Stock shifter with a shift plate to a competitor’s short shifter, and now this shifter. This one is my favorite so far in feel. It feels much more solid than both stock and other aftermarket option.

There is also much more adjustability with this shifter being able to move the height up and down and having more shift cable throw adjustment points. I have the shifter lowered a bit and have tried a couple different cable attachments points. Each shift is solid but effortless paired with a Corksport knob. I also keep the boot off to see all the great blue anodizing!

A must have upgrade in my opinion! Install smooth as butter as expected, instructions were great. Can't wait to really put it to the test at the Mazdas at the dragon event in October!

It's like night and day. My 2010 Mazda Speed3 had a good shifter but the CorkSport Mazda 3 Adjustable Shifter is much better. The feel is precise and gives a good feel like a sports car should. The there's are shifter that my OG shifter. Installation was straight forward except the plastic retainer. Aside from that, it was easy.

Originally I left a bad review due to the amount of slop I experienced after swapping out the shifter, I have since shimmed the outside of the plastic socket that surrounds the shifter ball, which has eliminated any slop in the shifter. Before doing that though, the shifter did not have the desired effect.

So if anyone else has had the same experience, try shimming the outside of the plastic socket so that there is no room for the socket to move around, properly lube the ball socket, and you should see a drastic improvement on this upgrade.
