2010-2013 Mazdaspeed 3 Adjustable Short Shifter

Originally I left a bad review due to the amount of slop I experienced after swapping out the shifter, I have since shimmed the outside of the plastic socket that surrounds the shifter ball, which has eliminated any slop in the shifter. Before doing that though, the shifter did not have the desired effect.

So if anyone else has had the same experience, try shimming the outside of the plastic socket so that there is no room for the socket to move around, properly lube the ball socket, and you should see a drastic improvement on this upgrade.

This was one of my favorite parts! From a great feel to and easy install.

A must have upgrade in my opinion! Install smooth as butter as expected, instructions were great. Can't wait to really put it to the test at the Mazdas at the dragon event in October!

You can really feel the difference between this one and the OEM one. Haven't drove the car much with it but I tested it and is just amazing how it works.

I only gave this a 4 star rating instead of a 5 start rating because the install isn't all that easy its alot of delicate plastic parts that are hard to get out without coming close to destroying them. Very intricate tabs to get the original gear shift out of the plastic housing that it sits in and the 3 tabs are super hard to undo and keep undone while removing the stock shifter. You will have to exercise patience. I would highly recommend the 4 Corksport Base Bushings as well since you will already have the base unit unbolted. Once you have the new bushings in and the new short shifter in it rockets right into a 5 star rating. As one of the previous reviews state its PURE Magic, makes the speed3 faster cause you can shift so fast with this thing and it makes for very very nice solid shift notching no play whatsoever. Makes the speed3 super fun to drive and adds a nice high quality shifting experience to the speed3.
