The
The CorkSport Power Series Short Ram Intake replaces your restrictive factory airbox with a free flowing intake system to get more power and sound out of your 2.5L SkyActiv Turbo. Increase efficiency, power, and style under your hood with the CorkSport Short Ram Intake. Each component in the CS intake system was designed for function and fitment to get the best out of your Mazda 6 Turbo. Dynamometer testing showed gains of 8-12WHP and some of the best noises we’ve heard from a short ram intake that installs in as little as 30minutes!

Read on for full details and be sure to check out the video below!

2018 and up Mazda 6 Turbo Intake

Fit, Function, & Performance:

The CorkSport Short Ram Intake was specifically designed for the 2018+ Mazda 6 2.5T. The combination of a precision machined MAF housing, laminar flow silicone elbow, high flow dry-element air filter and formed anodized mounting bracket.

2016 and up CX9 Turbo Intake

Performance & Sound:

The factory airbox in the Mazda 6 not only restricts airflow, but also the many turbo induction noises. As an added bonus, the audible turbo and bypass valve sounds are greatly improved and increased with the CorkSport Short Ram Intake. This will put a smile on your face whether you’re commuting to work or attacking a backroad. We highly suggest you watch the product video above if you haven’t yet.

2018 and up CX5 Turbo Intake

Bolt-On Power Gains:

The increased efficiency of the Short Ram Intake System provides an 8-12whp increase from 4000rpm to redline. No tuning required for results and no check engine lights.

Mazda 6 turbo MAF Housing

Precision Machined:

CorkSport MAF housings are CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for precise dimensional tolerance. The MAF sensor monitors all airflow entering the engine, therefore MAF alignment and consistency of the MAF housing inner diameter is critical for proper air fuel ratios and ECU engine management.

Laminar Flow:

Turbulence and flow resistance is the #1 leading killer of performance from your Mazda. The CorkSport SRI replaces the turbulent ribbed rubber coupler with a 4-ply reinforced silicone coupler. This reduces turbulence within the airflow entering your Mazda’s engine, thus increasing efficiency and power.

Mazda 6 Skyactiv turbo air filter

Dry-Flow Filter:

Filtration is key to a long lasting and reliable performance intake; that’s why every CorkSport Intake System utilizes an AEM Dry-Flow Air Filter for it’s superior filtration and airflow. The dry-flow filter is washable and reusable

Easily the best mod to start with if you plan on adding some sound and power to your 2.5T powered Mazda. LOVE the BOV noise after a quick jab of the throttle. The turbo whistle at part throttle is lovely. I have the cat back exhaust on my 6 as well and together they sound amazing. Great value for the money with this intake! Buy it.
Love it!!! First off yes it can be quite or very loud depending on how much throttle and rpm you give it. You can still hear it with the windows up. Great whistle when the turbo spools up and loud sound from the blow off valve. The top end power definitely got better as well. Quality is pretty good with a perfect fit. It took me 20 minutes to install. Great product for a great price. Next upgrade the boost tube
Very happy - easy install and a nice sound. But, we need a box for it (for legal reasons in Australia) - any timeline for that Corksport? The only drawback is that my local Mazda Service (Port Macquarie, Australia) has now flagged my 6 as having an "external waste gate fitted" which may affect my engine warranty if there are any issues. I have disputed this - the only mods I have made are from Corksport - rear sway bar, this intake, and the boost tube - definitely no waste gate! I had to Google exactly what it was and are they even available for that engine? I still need to sort this out with them - have to take my 6 back in so their head mechanic can point out this EWG that is apparently installed - annoying.
I actually bought both the turbo tube and short ram air and the difference in sound is superb, and I must include the lack of drop off in acceleration near the 5,000 and just over is remarkable! Thank you Cork Sport team for the upgrades. Now if I could just find out whether or not the AWD catback exhaust fits the FWD CX-9?
It’s cool!
Great product, it's nice to hear the turbo sounds in a family car.
Dose it fit CX-5 ?

**CorkSport Reply** Yes it fits the Cx5 turbo model
This Short Ram Intake is well made and I could definitely feel the difference in the throttle response. The car feels like it has a little more pep in its step. Also, you can hear pphhhsss of the turbos bypass valve. It is a quick and easy upgrade well worth doing not only for the performance gains, but the audio and visual experience as well.
I have been buying CorkSport products for about 5 years now, and as soon as this was released I purchased the intake knowing it would be high quality and provide the improvements I was looking for. This is a great upgrade to the 2.5T engine. I was thrilled with the performance of the stock engine, but since it is a family sedan, the engine noise was too quiet for my taste. The intake was a great addition to the car, I can now hear the turbo spool and the bypass valve when shifting/letting off the throttle. The noise level is low enough that my wife did not notice a change with the windows up, though hard driving you can hear some volume increase (mainly the BPV). With the windows down the intake sounds terrific!

While I have not dyno'ed the car, I do feel that it does pull better in the 5-6k range where it felt the turbo was running short previously, though it may just be placebo effect. Either way the sound alone is worth it, I would highly recommend this product.
Excellent product. No issues with the install and the engine runs great. Don't let the video fool you, the sounds are very subdued. Actually can't hear a thing inside the car with the sound system on low volume, and with the sound system on mute you can barely hear it. Roll the windows down and you can hear it, but it is not ricer at all. Very classy and fits the nature of the car perfectly. Love the bracket, BTW.

I recently bought and installed this on a 2018 Mazda 6 GT. LOVE the sound. One BIG note: The opposite end of the SRI tube where it connects to the factory plastic to turbo is an absolutely horrible transition. I know that the battery is mostly the reason that the oem piping is so narrow and restricting BUT are there plans to address this? If not I may do a battery relocate and then remove the oem plastic piping to the turbo with equal sized tubing from the SRI to the turbo.
