2018 and up Mazda 6 Turbo Intake

Fit, Function, & Performance:

The CorkSport Short Ram Intake was specifically designed for the 2018+ Mazda 6 2.5T. The combination of a precision machined MAF housing, laminar flow silicone elbow, high flow dry-element air filter, and formed anodized mounting bracket.

2016 and up CX9 Turbo Intake

Performance & Sound:

The factory airbox in the Mazda 6 not only restricts airflow, but also the many turbo induction noises. As an added bonus, the audible turbo and bypass valve sounds are greatly improved and increased with the CorkSport Short Ram Intake. This will put a smile on your face whether you’re commuting to work or attacking a back road. We highly suggest you watch the product video above if you haven’t yet.

Bolt-On Power Gains:

The improved flow and efficiency gained from the CS Short Ram Intake contributes an additional 5-16whp and 7-23wtq.  This is achieved with no tuning or triggering check engine lights.

Mazda 6 turbo MAF Housing

Precision Machined:

CorkSport MAF housings are CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for precise dimensional tolerance. The MAF sensor monitors all airflow entering the engine, therefore MAF alignment and consistency of the MAF housing inner diameter is critical for proper air fuel ratios and ECU engine management.

Laminar Flow:

Turbulence and flow resistance is the #1 leading killer of performance from your Mazda. The CorkSport SRI replaces the turbulent ribbed rubber coupler with a 4-ply reinforced silicone coupler. This reduces turbulence within the airflow entering your Mazda’s engine, thus increasing efficiency and power.

Mazda 6 Skyactiv turbo air filter

Dry-Flow Filter:

Filtration is key to a long-lasting and reliable performance intake; that’s why every CorkSport Intake System utilizes an AEM Dry-Flow Air Filter for its superior filtration and airflow. The dry-flow filter is washable and reusable

OMG this SRI sounds amazing! I've seen a review where someone said the sound of the intake in the YouTube videos are exaggerated. I'm here to set the record straight. ABSOLUTELY NOT. This SRI sounds very pronounced. It's definitely going to turn some heads. I'm going to add the full cat back exhaust very soon.
Very simple install, almost too easy. I say that because I planned on taking some time to do this this morning. A couple of hours, but it only took about 45 minutes going methodically slow. I finished and had to find some other project to work on. The sound is very cool. Be very careful when you're disconnecting or moving the MAF. They can be very pricey if you damage them. I highly recommend this upgrade for it's performance, ease of installation, and sound.
The results will say it all. This kit sounds incredible and the installation process is easy and straightforward. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in getting some nice sound from their Mazda
Very happy with this. Installed in a 2021 CX-5 CE turbo. Clear instructions. Quick install. Great sound.
Easy install with the color instructions. Pleasantly surprised by the sound of the turbo and diverted valve. Absolutely worth it!!
Easy enough install, my wife and I knocked it out in 1.5 hours. The sound alone is amazing. She is only just getting into car mods and this was an excellent intro. Makes the engine bay look so much better too. Love it
Not as noisy or loud as I thought it might be based on the warnings. I'm not technical, so I had some issues with the allen wrench sizes. Luckily, I had another car that could get around my CX-5 so I could go buy what I needed. Took me twice as long as estimated. Seems to be working. Tomorrows longer drive will isolate any issues.
Installed the whole intake and heat shield. Worth the money and sound great.
Got it for my 2019 cx9 easy install and sounds amazing
I can definitely hear my turbo now. It’s pretty cool. Easy installation took me and a friend about 40 minutes to install. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow. This was my first performance mod and more to come. I highly recommend it you won’t be disappointed. My only advice is to look over the instructions to ensure you have everything you need.

Looking at the graph, it seems like there is a whp and torque loss at the low end of the rpm range, is this the case? Or what is causing this large discrepancy? Asking because regular driving on cx5 turbo barely forces the engine to go above 3800 rpms.

Getting ready to purchase the SRI for my CX9, from what I see and how the hood seals since there is a FMI, I take it rain will not or shouldn't really be a issue with the SRI. Thank you.

I recently bought and installed this on a 2018 Mazda 6 GT. LOVE the sound. One BIG note: The opposite end of the SRI tube where it connects to the factory plastic to turbo is an absolutely horrible transition. I know that the battery is mostly the reason that the oem piping is so narrow and restricting BUT are there plans to address this? If not I may do a battery relocate and then remove the oem plastic piping to the turbo with equal sized tubing from the SRI to the turbo.
