Get solid protection against rocks and road debris and prevent damage to key components of your undercarriage with the 2010-2013 Mazdaspeed 3/Mazda 3 Skid Tray. Made from 0.090” precision machined aluminum, the CorkSport Mazdaspeed3 Skid Plate will provide maximum protection while adding minimal weight to the body of your vehicle. This one-piece precision bent skid plate is angled for a tight fit and structural rigidity and is CAD designed to mount further back on the sub frame with extra attachment points so it won’t snag or hang up on objects under your vehicle.

The CorkSport Advantage:
  • One piece, precision bent angled design: Offers a more complete seal to handle harsh conditions and provide a smoother airflow under the front side of the car
  • Lower Engine Bay Temps: The skidplate has been fully tested to keep stock (slightly lower) engine bay temperatures and allows airflow to pass through the engine bay.
  • Ideal for lowered vehicles: The 3D CAD designed plate offers a lightly higher profile, which is ideal for lowered vehicles. Get a slammed look without rubbing off your new under tray
  • 0.090” precision machined aluminum: Maximizes strength while adding minimal weight to the vehicle
  • Easy to access oil filter: Includes a large opening for oil to drain from the drain plug and has a removable cover for accessing the oil filter
  • CorkSport Service and Support: Receive a two year limited warrantly, full color installation instructions, all of the needed installation hardware, and knowledgeable telephone support

  • Does not fit Skyactiv Models.

Please note, due to package size, this part can only be shipped via UPS. Other shipping methods not available.

I own a 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactiv hatchback, manual 6 speed transmission. The skid plate does in fact fit and bolt up.

The oil drain plug and trans-axle drain plug are still accessible but not directly under the access panel.
Purchased this a little over 2 years ago, and I'm still happy with the purchase. Easily one of the best aftermarket parts to get for a Mazda 3. Construction is solid, and the aluminum has held up extremely well through 2 icy winter seasons and excessive road salt in Oklahoma.
Skid plate overall has a great fit and looks great. To answer the question of whether it fits front mount piping, it does very well. My issue is that there is only one option...aluminum. While its great for not adding a lot of weight and protecting the motor for stock height and slightly lowered cars, it is not ideal for cars that are aggressively low. The plate is pretty flexible since it is aluminum and I knew that when I decided to buy it but I really had no option since this is the only plate on the market besides fabricating one myself. If there was a steel option that would be awesome and ideal to actually protect the undercarriage of the car for someone lower than just drop-spring height.
At first the price pushed me away being its just a piece of molded aluminium but after I purchased and installed it its nice having the piece of mind I have some protection from damaging key components from road debris or large potholes, dips or bumps. Product came with all needed hardware for installation and very easy to understand instructions. Took about 40 minutes for install and no modifications needed it bolts right up. Must buy for lowered vehicles. $300 now could save you thousands once you hit that wrong pothole and find a puddle of fluid under your car.
Very good item. Maybe a little overkill since I have never broken or damaged the stock plastic skid plates on any car. But I like it. Vary easy install in my opinion. All hardware supplied. Only thing I didn't like was that it came uncoated but that was an easy fix. Also for those of you with the GT-Spec ladder bar it will fit. You put the rear skid plate holes under the front of it. It also fits with the GT-Spec front tie bar. al though it is a tight fit. Basically tight right against the skid plate. but no rattle at least for me.
Bought this last summer because I was on my 3rd set of plastic ones. This made it through a NJ winter and still holding up strong.
Will this work if I have a Ms3 bumper conversion??

I found the instruction a bit confusing. The reference to bolts sizes in the instructions did not match the packing list. What should have taken me 30 minutes to install took 3 times as long. I had to file down the bolt holes in the rear to get the bolts screwed in. I had to repeat 3 times until it fit, and still it was a tight fit. Once I got things lined up, the rest of the install was easy. I would have otherwise given this product an excellent rating if not for the trouble.
What is required to install this on my first gen 2.0L Sedan? It notes that modification is required.

Hi, I drive an '06 Mazda 3i sedan, what is the modification that has to be performed in order to use this on my car?
This looks great, I wish you guys made a skid plate like this for my Mazdaspeed 6.
Super easy install. It took about 30 minutes total with lifting the car and lowering back down. It doesnt come with nuts and bolts for the front holes that attach to the bumper so if you are like me and didnt have any of the original pieces, you will have to make a trip and get a few pieces. It all worked out great though and I am super happy with it so far. Bring on the snow!

had this on my car for a month now and have to say the peace of mind is great but there is flaw. if u run a cold air intake u will need to fabricate a shield to fill the gaps on the sides between it and the factory plastic piece under the filter or it will get soaking wet in the rain like mine(not fun). if u run a sri not a cai your fine.
excellent option to replace my shattered underbelly after driving over a dead deer....and close to the OE....BACKORDERED shield......will be purchasing in a few weeks for sure!!
I've only had this on for a day but I'm already loving it. Its doing a great job slushing through the snow here in Canada. The factory one didn't last more than a few days of snow before it was absolutely destroyed. This is definitely a good investment for anyone driving a lowered 3. The only thing that bothered me was the tight fit of the bolts, it makes installation a bit of a pain to get things lined up but it also means things are snug and not going anywhere.
Had this installed for almost two years and through rough winters. This is a must for me especially for the amount of snow we have and with my car lowered. However, I noticed this CorkSport skidplate has less clearance actually than stock once installed. So whenever I went over ruts, it scares the crap out of people because it grinds loud! But hey at least it didn’t shred into pieces. I went through 3 of those cheap stock plastic trays plus splash guards in 2 winters.
This is on top of my to buy list as the cheap plastic stock undertray ripped off due to it's cheap screws wallowing out and air pulling it down on the road. Thanks Corksport for a wonderful idea & creating for us a quality replacement with high form & function!
This, like every other CorkSport product, is great. I've had it on for a few months and have nothing but two thumbs up for it. Just be sure to wear gloves when handling it, especially during installation.

I put on a new grill (the one whitezilla3 sells) and it takes away the bumper to skidplate screw connections underneath. I was wondering if this would fit still with a front splitter that could cover the gap to the screws. Or if you sold a splitter to go with it.

To install the COBB FMIC, I had to cut some plastic fins off the inside of the OEM tray to make it fit. Will this fit around my intercooler?

Does this fit skyactiv models? In the description it says it doesn't, but in the reviews someone said it fits their 2012 mazda 3 skyactiv Hatchback, the access panel is a little off but still able to access everything. Can you verify if this fits the skyactiv models (fits and is accessible, even if slightly off center)?
