Once you get past the anxiety of tearing apart your center console which wasn't as bad as it sounds the reward is worth the effort. Weighted adjustability allows you to customize how much you feel or don't feel the shifts. Combined with the short shift plate and solid bushings you can go light and feel every mechanical movement of the assembly or go heavy and have an easier time going into gear and less overall feel. The ball feels nice in your hand but I would recommend removing or putting up a sun shade when not in use because the aluminum can get quite hot.

Before I received it, I was a bit worried as I saw this aluminum(Clear) one just on the picture that maybe I will not like it in reality, but I have to say that I like it very much, it looks much better(also more luxuriously) than I expected.
I got it installed yesterday. Of course the installation is not that perfect(for Mazda 3 2014+) as you have to disassemble the cup holder, etc., was partially hard work to get that away, but in the end, when all done, I have to admit, that I cant stop watching/touching it. :D
Its wider and heavier than the stock Mazda knob.
I am using the heaviest setup for now, it works well, gears go there with less effort which is pleasant.
If you like the Aluminum finish, I can recommend this knob.
