The CorkSport Advantage

Sound Upgrade:

The CorkSport Axle-Back exhaust system completely eliminates the OEM rear muffler and replaces it with our 63.5mm (2.5in) mandrel bent stainless steel piping and pass-through resonator.

We tested multiple resonator setups in the axle back. The unique asymmetric axle back design results in a great combination of tone, volume, and drone control for your vehicle. The result is an exhaust for a CX-50 enthusiast who wants a more aggressive tone that is pleasing to the ear.

OEM Fitment:

All of our exhaust systems are designed from the ground-up to fit just like your OEM setup. Whether your CX50 is naturally aspirated or turbocharged, with or without cylinder deactivation, our complete exhaust system will fit your vehicle just like a factory part.

During our R&D we found that Mazda allowed some manufacturing inconsistencies in their OEM exhaust components. As such, the OEM exhaust from one CX50 may or may not fit correctly on another CX50 and vice-versa, so WE FIXED THAT for you!

Our new “ball & socket” connection design for the Axleback exhaust provides maximum adjustment for the perfect fit.

Performance Tips:

Using unique dual wall slant cut tips, the CorkSport exhaust fits the lines and curves of the sexy and aggressive CX-50. The 100mm (4in) OD tips fill the bumper cutouts tightly, helping keep great ground clearance and departure angles.

Materials and Manufacturing:

The CorkSport axle back exhaust is made from fully polished, mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel piping for a fantastic look that will stand up to the elements and keep your Mazda breathing easy.

All joints use TIG welds for long-lasting strength and all hanger locations have extra bracing to ensure a secure exhaust for years to come. Lastly, each exhaust comes with all hardware needed for installation to keep your Mazda running smoothly!

Hardware & Hitch:

Every exhaust kit comes with all hardware needed for installation. The CorkSport axleback exhaust has been confirmed to fit with the OEM hitch. Other aftermarket hitches have not been confirmed.

Axleback Fitment: In our testing, we have found that Mazda has allowed some manufacturing inconsistencies of their OEM exhaust components. As a result, we redesigned our exhaust with an adjustable flange that will compensate for these disparities. Please refer to the installation instructions for more details.
NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) in the cabin of your vehicle will be increased by the installation of this exhaust. We highly recommend you view the above video to hear the exhaust note inside and outside the vehicle.
Axle Back exhaust fits with OEM hitch. Other aftermarket hitches have not been confirmed.
