Fit, Function, & Performance:

CorkSport designed this Short Ram Intake specifically for the Mazda 3 2.5L SkyActiv Turbo and CX-30, with a focus on achieving optimal fit and performance. The kit features a precision-machined billet aluminum MAF housing, a laser-cut mounting bracket, a reinforced laminar flow silicone elbow, and a high-flow dry-element air filter. We've designed the SRI to fit within your Mazda 3 and CX-30.

The Mazda 3 Turbo's stock air box leaves ample room for improvement, particularly when it comes to enhancing the overall driving experience. One critical area for improvement is the sound emanating from the engine. The CorkSport Short Ram Intake unlocks a pleasing sound from the turbo and bypass valve, eliciting a smile every time you take your Mazda 3 Turbo out for a drive.

The CS Short Ram Intake's enhanced flow and efficiency can result in an additional 5-16whp and 7-23wtq without the need for tuning or the triggering of any check engine lights.

Precision Machined:

CorkSport's MAF housings are crafted from 6061-T6 billet aluminum using a CNC, ensuring tight tolerances are maintained. This level of accuracy is critical because the MAF sensor is responsible for measuring the amount of air entering the engine, which is essential for achieving the proper air-fuel ratios and drivability.

Laminar Flow:

The main contributing factor to the performance boost delivered by the CS Short Ram Intake is the reduction of turbulence in the intake. This is achieved by replacing the OEM ribbed intake elbow, which has a varying internal size, with a smooth 4-ply reinforced silicone elbow. This simple change leads to heightened power and efficiency.

Dry-Flow Filter:

The dry flow filter is designed to be a long-lasting filter that is reliable for your performance needs. The Mazda 3 and CX-30 includes a 3.5” Dry-Flow Air Filter to provide excellent filtration and airflow that is also washable and reusable.


  • No Tuning required and no Check Engine Lights.
  • There will be added engine, turbocharger, and bypass valve noise as a result of installing this intake. “Whoosh” or “psshh” sounds are normal and do not need to be worried about.
  • The Heat Shield Kit for the Turbo Model Mazda 6, CX-5, CX-9 does NOT fit the Mazda 3 and CX-30 Turbo Models. Please wait for the CorkSport Heat Shield Kit specific for the Mazda 3 and CX-30.

2021 mazda 3 turbo. What octane is needed for this sri? When i use 87 The car feels like the engines jerking (moving forward and back) and i lost 3.5 mpg without driving aggressive. I put the car back to stock and no problems. Car has never jerked again and my gas mileage went back up to normal. I know you tested with 91 octane. Is that what is needed for this intake to run properly?

Not that there aren't some people who bought the turbo CX-30 and REALLY don't want to hear intake noise, but if they exist, those people are maniacs.

This intake is exactly what these cars need. Faster spool up, ~10 more horsepower, and OH MY GOD THE SOUND. Seriously. I'd buy this thing again even if it made no horsepower because of how much better it sounds versus the stock baffled intake. You can hear the turbo spool, and the bypass valve surprises the hell outta other modified cars on the road. Overall a super solid purchase, and I'd for sure recommend it for any 2.5T 3/CX-30 owners.

Great fit and easy to install! The guys sent some stickers and rice krispies too which was nice. The noise is awesome and wasn't too bad to install. Just be sure the hose is in all the way and clamped tight!

The install took 20 minutes and was super easy. The car feels liberated and the sounds made me giddy like a kid at Christmas! I have fell in love with my M3turbo all over again. Thanks Corksport.

If you have the M3 turbo… you have to get this. 20-30 minute install to fall in love with your car all over again. 10/10 sounds across the board but not too loud while highway cruising. Definitely buy this

Install was pretty easy! A couple things though. Worst part was pushing out and in the rubber grommets and praying they were in correctly. Also my 3mm bolts were TIGHT, I thought I was going to snap my hex key trying to take them out before putting in the MAF sensor.

The sounds are seriously amazing. 100% worth it to open up those noises.

slapped this bad boy on in 20 minutes. easy peasy. hit second gear and you can hear your 3 tubo come alive. what a transformation. you never knew your mazda 3 turbo was such a bad ass until you bolt this thing own. just buy it.

Had one of these for my 2016 Mazda 3, and now I have one for my 2021 Mazda 3 turbo and wow what a difference. Hearing the turbo spool makes driving so much more fun. If you were to only get one upgrade for your car, this is the one.

Great product, very clean and clear instructions to read especially with the color coded layout. Probably took me about 25-40 min to install and was taking my time with the install. Did not want to rush and mess anything up but this setup makes the engine bay look cleaner in my opinion. Hopefully there will be replacement filters to order off here in the near future so I can stock up on a few since I live in Vegas and gets really dusty here.
