CorkSport designed this Short Ram Intake specifically for the Mazda 3 2.5L SkyActiv Turbo and CX-30, with a focus on achieving optimal fit and performance. The kit features a precision-machined billet aluminum MAF housing, a laser-cut mounting bracket, a reinforced laminar flow silicone elbow, and a high-flow dry-element air filter. We've designed the SRI to fit within your Mazda 3 and CX-30.
The Mazda 3 Turbo's stock air box leaves ample room for improvement, particularly when it comes to enhancing the overall driving experience. One critical area for improvement is the sound emanating from the engine. The CorkSport Short Ram Intake unlocks a pleasing sound from the turbo and bypass valve, eliciting a smile every time you take your Mazda 3 Turbo out for a drive.
The CS Short Ram Intake's enhanced flow and efficiency can result in an additional 5-16whp and 7-23wtq without the need for tuning or the triggering of any check engine lights.
CorkSport's MAF housings are crafted from 6061-T6 billet aluminum using a CNC, ensuring tight tolerances are maintained. This level of accuracy is critical because the MAF sensor is responsible for measuring the amount of air entering the engine, which is essential for achieving the proper air-fuel ratios and drivability.
The main contributing factor to the performance boost delivered by the CS Short Ram Intake is the reduction of turbulence in the intake. This is achieved by replacing the OEM ribbed intake elbow, which has a varying internal size, with a smooth 4-ply reinforced silicone elbow. This simple change leads to heightened power and efficiency.
The dry flow filter is designed to be a long-lasting filter that is reliable for your performance needs. The Mazda 3 and CX-30 includes a 3.5” Dry-Flow Air Filter to provide excellent filtration and airflow that is also washable and reusable.

There is no way for a computer to detect this no.
can this be applied to my 2014 Mazda 3 Satnav?
The intakes are not compatible between the 3rd and 4th gen. The 2014 was offered with a 2.5 or 2.0l, we have an intake option specific to each.
2021 mazda 3 turbo. What octane is needed for this sri? When i use 87 The car feels like the engines jerking (moving forward and back) and i lost 3.5 mpg without driving aggressive. I put the car back to stock and no problems. Car has never jerked again and my gas mileage went back up to normal. I know you tested with 91 octane. Is that what is needed for this intake to run properly?
You may have had a loose clamp causing vacuum issues. The intake will work with any grade fuel. I recommend reinstalling and going over each connection twice to ensure everything is seated correctly. If the problem persists, please send us an email to sales@corksport.com

Is this washable and reusable for when it gets dirty or does Corksport offer replacement filters?
You can use a standard cleaning process for a dry flow filter, or order replacements through the site.
Do you have an approximate timeline of the when the heatshield will come out for the turbo 3 and cx-30? So I know when to look for it.
Not at the moment, but we do have working prototypes on our shop cars so it should not be far off.
Do you know if this system be can be coupled with the JB4 tuner from Burger Tuning without issue?

Seems like performance may affected by only using hot air from under the hood. Is there a way to channel outside air?
We run exposed SRI on both of our race cars with no ill effects. We are working on air box options for the turbo 3 currently.

This will void the warranty as it applied to the MAF and the intake itself. Check with your local dealer to ensure they agree.
Can you please make it titanium instead of silicon?

How much whp gains from combination with the new exhaust coming out?
We don't have an AWD dyno so have not been able to measure that yet.
