Amazing product!! Install was easy and results are beyond my expectation. Pair this with the CS aluminum shifter bushings and it changes the whole feel of the car! Shifts are smooth and more precise 2nd to 3rd is straight butter! All around more then amazed and happy about this product.

Great quality shifter. Seems really well made and very simple to install. I did have to remove the center console for easier access but after that the instructions were spot on

This thing is just amazing! There really is no other way to put it. Shifts are smooth. Also, feel very solid. Build quality is really good. Looks even better in person. As far as installation goes, took me less than 30 minutes. It does not take anytime at all to install this at all, if you're mechanically inclined. If you're not, just take your time, and use the provided instruction from Corksport. Thank you Corksport for making such a great product! Like I said, absolutely no problems at all with the product. I would recommend this to everyone looking to get a short shifter.

One of the easiest installs and mods you can do to your MS3. Love the feel and it works great. Only issue I had was when it it is in its lowest height getting it into reverse was near impossible.

Took about 35 minutes to install and i have no mechanic background! I can dramatically tell the difference after install and is much easier to shift. Completely worth the money and am very happy with my purchase!

I installed this on my 08' speed3 and it is very off center. It is centered in what looks like fifth gear which is kind of annoying. When in sixth it rubs against shift boot too. How do I fix this? I want to have it centered in the center.

I do not recommend this shifter. On first install you notice that the shifter's neutral position is no longer in the center of the shift boot, but rather sits in the OEM sixth gear location. If that aesthetic doesn't bother you the performance will. Shifting into reverse and into first gear is a nightmare. The shifter scrapes on the OEM plastic internals and sixth gear is a struggle due to poor central placement of the shifter. I uninstalled the part after driving for 10 minutes or so. The shifter was not livable.
After reading the other reviews I was surprised I was experiencing so much trouble. I thought for sure I had a defective part. I contacted CorkSport about my problems and they told me I had to re-install their shifter and film my issues before they would even consider sending me a new shifter. Apparently they have a no return policy so there was no chance of getting my money back. I've been a mechanic for 4+ year. I installed the part correctly the first time around and couldn't believe their poor customer service.
Honest truth, all of it. I will be spending my money elsewhere from now on and I recommend you do as well. CorkSport will likely remove this review from their site so if your reading this, get out while you can.

I wasn't planning on getting a short shifter originally, but after my oem shifter broke I was pointed towards this one. This thing is amazing! It gives a much more solid feel while going through the gears and makes the whole driving experience of this car overall more enjoyable. I have mine set at the shortest throw setting and medium height. Add this to your mod list, you won't regret it.

Absolutely love this shifter! I’ve had a shift plate from a different company for years but have heard that it will put extra stress and wear out the cables so I decided to switch.

The installation was extremely easy for me being that I don’t have any interior in my car left to remove. I was really careful breaking down and reassembling the shifter into the base. Just don’t forget to get the grease to lube it up before you put the shifter ball into the cup!

I love the adjustability of the shifter, both with height of the shifter and length of the throw. This thing looks like a work of art and I’m so happy I get to keep it out in the open!

I will preface this, that I am the original owner of the 2007 Mazdaspeed 3. Purchased it in 12/06, and have 164K miles on it now. I have upgraded, wore out, and replaced many items.

Today, I replaced a short shifter I had for probably 15 years. Company who made it, long gone. It was a basic OEM shifter, but short. Made it so my giant coffee mug would fit and I could still shift. However, I had noticed it was rather sloppy in recent years. I decided to upgrade after my engine build. Then, intimated by the install I let it sit for a few months. Until last night after driving and having issues with shifting. It was time.

First, if you have not done so, print the directions or have them available. I went ham on it and forgot to unclip the cables before removing the bolts to the base. That was my sign to sleep on it. Restarted this morning. Of course it was easier to proceed not being an inferno outside. Followed the steps, paid the blood sacrifice my car demanded, and it went back together easily. Lots of lithium grease applied. (Does that make me a hybrid now?).

If you have shifter base bushings, you know how they like to slide around during install. So I put a little cheap crazy glue on them to hold them in place for reinstallation.

From sloppy and vague to tight and precise, I am very happy with my purchase. 11/10 should have done this sooner.

This shifter is a piece of art! Absolute quality! So easy to install - an idiot could do it because the instructions are so thorough and fool proof!
The difference in gear shifts is night and day compared to the stock set up (they feel so much tighter) and it just feels so nice to drive. The bonus of being able to set your shifter knob height is awesome as well. Cannot recommend this short shifter enough for anyone looking to upgrade their stock set up.
My only issue is that it’s too pretty to cover up! It almost needs to be on display!
