One of the main focuses of the Speed3 Aux Fuel Tank is the fitment and capacity. We went through numerous revisions to ensure we maximized capacity while retaining fantastic fitment on both GEN1 and GEN2. Through this, we achieved ~2.6 gallon capacity while incorporating adjustability into the mounting brackets to account for manufacturing and setup variances from one car to another.
We chose rotomolding to produce the MS3 Aux Tank to make it super easy to use and personalize for your fuel system. Not only did we maximize capacity, we incorporated flexibility into the use of the tank. There are included mounting locations for methanol pumps and standard 044 style fuel pump brackets.
The CorkSport MS3 aux fuel tank also incorporates a bunch of other great features. An included low-level sensor and warning light will trigger at ~0.8 gallons left in the tank so you have plenty of warning before running dry. Also included is a sumped tank feed to prevent fuel starving from g-forces while driving. It is also PI ready with a return port that can be easily blocked if using methanol. A billet aluminum cap with dual O-rings ensures a good seal, even when the tank is upside-down. The fill neck was carefully sized to fit most gas cans and funnels for easy refueling. Finally, a vent is included to prevent tank pressure from building up.
The CorkSport Auxiliary Fuel Tank is made from rotomolded 0.190” thick HDPE. This is the same material that most racing gas cans are made from, so you know it will be safe no matter the fuel you use. All the mounting brackets are laser cut and precision formed 304 stainless steel for a great look and corrosion resistance. Finally, the cap is black anodized billet aluminum for reliable and easy use while being stealthy in your engine bay.
With the tank located on the front of the car, we wanted to be sure it could take an impact from a typical road debris object and not fracture. We used a 3 lb sledgehammer to simulate this with multiple impacts. The thick cross-link HDPE plastic can stand up to the test of time and road debris. We even parked a Toyota Tacoma on the tank to test strength! Not a single fracture.

Has this been installed in speed6 ever? I have wiper bottle relocated to pass-side and wonder how this could fit on driver-side?
It has not been successfully installed on a MS6. Generally a tank would need to be installed in the trunk for that model.
