CorkSport Big Brake calipers provide the ultimate in stopping power for your Mazda. Crafted from extremely lightweight billet aluminum, the CorkSport calipers use an opposed piston design that is fixed to provide greatly improved pad wear, and caliper rigidity over the OEM design. At just over 7lbs, the aluminum CorkSport Big Brake Kit shaves almost 8lbs of unsprung weight off each corner of your Mazda, all while adding more stopping power and a much better pedal feel. Available in 3 anodized colors, this brake system includes everything you need to easily upgrade your stock braking system and includes: High strength steel brackets, calipers, stainless steel braided front brake lines, brake pads and all necessary hardware. Just install and go, no searching for extra parts or ordering additional items. Fits 2004-2013 Mazda 3 and Mazdaspeed 3 with the use of OEM sized Mazdaspeed 3 rotors. With aluminum pistons, dual high temperature O-rings instead of fragile dustboots, the CorkSport Big Brake Calipers are perfect for daily driving, spirited runs in the mountains or track day fun.
The CorkSport Advantage:
Superior Construction: Crafted from billet aluminum and made to last with durable components
Longevity: With dual O-rings far away from the brake pads these calipers are able to handle much more abuse than typical dust boot equipped calipers.
Lightweight: At just over 7lbs a side, this kit saves almost 8lbs of unsprung weight per corner!
Cost Effective: We kept the cost lower by replacing just the Front Calipers, which have the most stopping power.
Versatile: Designed around a popular brake pad style (Hawk #HB700), you can use almost any brake pad compound available on the market.
Available in Three Colors: Choose from Black, Red or Blue in a durable anodized finish
Ease of Use: With simple hand tools you can change brake pads in minutes and with full rebuildability you can be back to factory fresh brakes in no time.
CorkSport Service and Support: Receive full color installation instructions, all of the needed installation hardware, and knowledgeable telephone support.
Note: Track use and/or extreme heat can fade the anodization resulting in a silver/gold finish. This does not affect performance of the brake kit.
**New or resurfaced rotors are strongly recommended with the installation of this product**
**Mazda 3 Installation requires the rotors to be upgraded to Mazdaspeed 3 Rotors**

3 Hour Install Time
Just got these installed with new stock rotors, I ordered black because I didn't want to look too racy. I have a twinge of regret not going for the red or blue because they look so good but the black looks classy under the stock alloy Speed3 wheels.
I only have a few quick miles on them, so far though they feel really good. I previously was using Hawk HPS blue pads which had a somewhat aggressive bite to them compared to the pads in this kit. The CS pads don't feel as aggressive but maybe that'll change as I break in the new setup.
Compliments from the service techs who installed them, thanks for a great product CS!

They weren't as impressive as i hoped at the track. Ended up selling them two days after purchased when it only shaved about one second on the track. Also decided they weren't keeping once you realize how STUPID your car looks with only the front set and i mean really stupid. They should at least offer a rear kit for appearance sake.
Inb4 this gets deleted because of the poor review
>>>CorkSport Reply: Matthew did you use a track set of brake pads with the kit? The brake pads included are for the street/autox not the track.

Currently driving a 08 Mazda3 S. MS3 rotors are required for this kit, but is the full MS3 brake conversion necessary? Can I just slap some MS3 rotors on and the bracket will fit to correct size?
CorkSport Reply: It only requires a Mazdaspeed 3 Rotor to work with a standard Mazda 3. Nothing else required.

Will fit bolt-on on MS3 2013 ?
CorkSport Reply: Yes

Will these fit the stock rotors?
CorkSport Reply: The kit works with stock Mazdaspeed 3 Rotors.

Will these work for the rears as well? because its stupid that you only offer 2 for the front making your car look stupid as hell after an install.
CorkSport Reply: The primary purpose of the kit was to improve performance at a good cost, the rears make only a minimal improvement in stopping and the cost would double. In other words, we will not be offering a rear kit.

Are there any certificates for the german TüV?

Are these for all 4 corners or just the fronts?
CorkSport Reply: They are just for the fronts.

What type of brake pads come with these calipers?
CorkSport Reply:It is a street performance brake pad.
Does this kit include only 2 front calipers or calipers for all 4 corners of the car? And are the calipers all 4 piston calipers? If this kit includes only 2 calipers can I buy 2 of these kits so I can have corksport big brakes on the front and rear of the car

This is only for the front...
They would not work for the rear due to the design of the rear brake. It has the parking brake integrated into it. We do not offer a kit for the rear.

Do these calipers use a different type of brake pad or is it the same type the stock calipers use? (The one with metal hooks on the top and bottom of the pad with the clips for the piston side. Thanks.)

It uses its own pads, the OEMs are no longer used.

You posted in 2013 that these use the TR WRX spec pads now you say Mazdaspeed 3 spec pads work. Did you redesign the calipers or is there a typo somewhere in your posts? Also, the photos look as if these have quick change pads that do not require removal of the caliper. Is this the case?
My stock brakes on my 2013 Mazdaspeed3 are squealing when stopping at every stop light because of brake dust in the calipers. Are the Corksport big brakes prone to the same fate or will they keep the dust out and be quiet?
Our big brake kit has proven to be quiet, and increase performance. You will never be able to get rid of brake dust in the caliper unless you change to a pad that has a much better compound resulting in less dust.
which company actually makes the calipers used in building this kit? could you actually post a few links to possible break pads that fit this kit. Im interested but track alot and need a compound that will actually hold up to heat
Our big brake kit allows you to re-use your OEM pads which means that any pad that fits the OEM caliper will fit our big brake kit. I would check out Stoptech, or Hawk pads if you are looking at having a track proven pad.

Just to clarify, you are saying oem mazdaspeed3 brake pads will fit these calipers? From few pictures I have seen the pads do not look at all anything alike to what ships with the kit but I may be wrong. Also I wanted to know who actually manufacturers the calipers
Answered by william | 02/19/2016, 10:31 AM
Stock pads will fit the upgraded calipers. We design all of our parts!
I'm looking to purchase the blue caliper. Do you offer or can you give me the pantone color so I can paint the rear the same as the front? Do you have the paint color in house for purchase to paint the rear caliper?
The calipers are anodized so a color match will be pretty tough. Check out the link below on the section of color matching between painting/anodizing.
