Testing:

During testing, the CorkSport SRI Airbox was subjected to both spirited driving and stationary idling on a warm, sunny day (~80°F, 26°C). The accompanying graph illustrates a five-minute idling period, simulating heavy traffic or waiting in line at the drag strip, followed by acceleration up to 50 mph (80 kph).

Our results showed that the CS Airbox reduces average intake temperatures by nearly 10°F compared to using the SRI alone. While our testing conditions were more rigorous than typical driving scenarios, it demonstrates the Air Box's effectiveness in reducing heat soak during prolonged idling in hot weather. This leads to cooler intake temperatures and enhanced power output, even in demanding conditions.

OEM Fitment:

Designed specifically for the Mazda CX-30, the CorkSport Airbox offers a seamless OEM fitment. Utilizing the original rubber isolators and mounting locations, installation is straightforward and hassle-free. This design ensures the Airbox moves with the engine during operation, maintaining optimal performance. Additionally, the OEM Air Scoop is retained, providing multiple intake draw points for enhanced airflow and cooler intake temperatures.

Serviceable Design:

Servicing the air filter is quick and easy. Simply remove the acrylic cover to access the filter and MAF housing.

Materials and Design:

The CorkSport SRI Airbox for the Mazda CX-30 is crafted from durable Rotomolded 5mm (0.190”) thick XDPE Plastic, the same robust material used in our Auxiliary Fuel Tank for the Mazdaspeed3 and the Turbo Inlet Pipe for the 2021+ Mazda 3 Turbo. This material is designed to endure harsh elements, high temperatures, and even some physical abuse with ease. The cover lid is made of Acrylic, known for its high-temperature resistance and its ability to add a sleek, shiny finish to your engine bay.

SRI + Cold Air Box Designed to Work Together:

The Cold Air Box is designed to specifically fit with the CorkSport SRI. Enjoy the performance that the Short Ram Intake provides with the cooler temperatures. Both fit like OEM using OEM mounting points. The perfect fit for better performance.

CorkSport Short Ram Intake is required. The CS Airbox will not fit with OEM intake systems or other aftermarket products.
