Enjoy the power and performance of CorkSport's manual transmission Mazda upgrade gears designed for racing. We rigorously tested these gears in our race car and test mule for the 2022 TC America racing tour and passed with flying colors through the entire circuit. You can have confidence in CorkSport's best Mazda 3 gear set that provides optimal performance for your racing needs.
Big power means nothing if you keep breaking transmissions. If you relate to this, you might need stronger gears. During our TC America Racecar development program, we discovered that the 3rd and 4th gears in the factory manual transmission just aren’t capable of handling the extra forces that boost and sticky tires bring to the party. CorkSport’s upgraded gears are constructed of SAE 9310 Steel and Shot Peened for extra strength to allow you to keep racing with no worries. These gears were developed for road racing, but are perfectly suited for the Drag Strip or a High Powered street application.

We have been running this upgraded gear set for the entire 2022 TC America race season with great reliability. Our TC racing car test mule is consistently producing 317hp, 355ft-lbs of torque thanks to our Skyactiv Turbo Kit and is wearing meaty Pirelli P-Zero Racing Slicks. We have confidence that these gears can handle the power output and forces produced by anything on the market today.

CorkSport’s upgraded gears are constructed of high-quality SAE 9310 Steel and Shot Peened for extra durability. Our gears remain helical and keep the factory gear ratios to ensure fitment into street-driven applications with OEM synchros, but are still able to utilize the added strength of the material upgrade.

Do these also fit BM/BN 2.0L MT?
Mazda does not differentiate the gear part numbers between 2.0L and 2.5L. Both primary and secondary 3rd and 4th have 1 part number regardless of trans. We would say yes to 2.0L but i do not know if anyone has installed it yet. only changes in part numbering are the primary gear shafts, differential (different size), and some parts for 1st/2nd (1st gear ratio change). the trans cases are also different (which is why 2.5 clutches dont fit 2.0)
Are you thinking about building a full kit 1-6 gears?
We do not have plans for that no.
What transmission oil have you found that works the best? Because there not that smooth of a shift
