The CorkSport Intercooler Piping Upgrade for the 2018+ Mazda 6, CX-5, and CX-9 2.5T is a perfect match for the CS FMIC Upgrade. Replace the small plastic OEM piping with smooth flowing, large diameter aluminum piping and reinforced silicone couplers. 2.25ā diameter hot side piping gets the boost to your CorkSport intercooler as fast as possible, while 3ā cold side piping improves throttle response and reduces boost lag. Eliminating the sharp bends and diameter reductions of the OEM piping also allows your turbo to hit its boost targets easier and more efficiently, carrying your power to redline better! Plus the kit adds a subtle visual boost to your engine bay with black textured powder coat.
Side by side you can see that the CorkSport Piping Kit is not only larger, but uses much different materials for the piping and connections.
The OEM piping is constructed of 2-piece form and sealed plastic with a small 2inch ID in most locations and even restricts down to ~1.65inches in the hot pipe.
The CorkSport Piping utilizes a staged size design with aluminum piping and 4-ply silicone couplers. The hot side piping measures at 2.25inches and the cold side piping at 3.00 inches.
The CorkSport Piping Kit is Designed and intended to be used with the CorkSport Intercooler Upgrade. Combined, the Intercooler and Piping provide faster spool, improved throttle response, and increase power along the entire engine RPM range.
The material used in any performance application is critical, that’s why CorkSport uses aluminum piping for all intercooler piping upgrades. Aluminum piping is lightweight, durable, and can quickly dissipate heat.
Combined with a durable and great looking texture powdercoat finish, the piping upgrade kit is a high performance and great looking addition to your engine bay.
All new 4-ply silicone couplers are provided for a seamless and boost leak free installation. Silicone is a perfect material for automotive boosted applications because it can handle high temperatures, pressures, and remain pliable and flexible during use.
All connections are sealed with stainless steel T-bolt clamps. T-bolt clamps provide higher clamping force with a wide band, this provides a better seal that does not damage the silicone coupler.

can it also fit in a non turbo?
A naturally aspirated car does not have an intercooler, so it is not possible to install upgraded intercooler piping.
If I install this with other Corksport mods like the cold air intake and upgraded Intercooler, will I need to get an ECU remap?
No, you can run these bolt ons without a tune.
Will this void factory warranty?
It will void the warranty on the OEM intercooler.
Is the piping compatible with stock intercooler?
No, these parts are not compatible with the OEM intercooler.
Might be a dumb question... but why doesn’t the boost tube work with the inter cooler and piping kit?
The intercooler piping replaces the entire junction with a metal pipe.
