You can definitely tell a difference when roll racing, acceleration feels faster and smoother.
Alot of people just do the SRI.. sure that is your call but we had the car put on a Dyno and the increase was what was advertised and than some! I have a BORLA to compliment this upgrade and a Corksport Midpipe and the Air flow increase all around has added enough to compete with a GTI and can beat BRZ and GT86s.
Had this part for a week so far and impressed as I am also trying now to run 91 and see if the increase goes further.

I got this installed on my 2016 mazada 3 i sport and my check engine came on and the code is saying to much to air anybody else have the same issue.
A couple of things. Make sure you have a 2.5L engine. It may mean you have 2.0 engine. Also, tighten up the bolts a bit more and make sure everything is connected properly.

We will not be making the intake CARB legal at this point in time.

These are designed to be used without the factory air box.

The intakes are designed to be used without the factory intake box.
Will this fit a 3rd gen Mazda 6 2.5L non turbo?
Yes it will work. The airbox does not fit however.
Will this work with a 2020 Mazda cx 30?
We have not yet checked. The New models have finicky MAF sensors that we are working through at the moment.
Will this work well with a Corksport exhaust installed on my car?
Yes it will, the Mazda 3 responds well.
Will it fit a 2019 Mazda 3 hatch?
No it will not. We have one in development.
Will you be making this product for the Mazda 2 DJ DL 2015-? To me it seems that only slight modifications are needed to make it fit.
We do not have the DJ model here in North America to do the development work or we would make an intake for it.
Is there any possibility of adapting this (or similar Corksport intakes cx5 eg) to the 2.0L Mazda 3? Or does Corksport have an intake that's made specifically for the 2.0L?
The 2.0 intake will work on most other Skyactiv 2.0s, the same goes for the 2.5 intakes. They will not swap between the 2.0 and the 2.5 though.

You don't need to, but you will get the most gain power wise from one
In regards to cleaning the filter is there a solution or technique recommended? And also how often would the filter need to be replaced?
K&N Dry flow filter cleaner or you can use mild degreaser cleaner in a bucket to help remove the grime. Let it air dry for several hours before putting it back on the car.
Why exactly wouldn't it work with the 2.0L?
The 2.5 has different MAF sizes. The silicone, clamps, filter are all different

Yes it will.
When the Corksport filter needs replacing, will it be okay to use a AEM or Oiled K&N cone filter as a replacement?
You can, but we dont like oiled filters. It is more of chance that the MAF sensor gets gunked up.

Since this will seemingly alter the engine air intake...will it also cause the dash engine light to come on ?
The MAF is sized the same as the OEM so there is no check engine light from a fuel trim difference.
Is this intake ALWAYS louder than stock or is it only while under moderate to heavy acceleration? I want to be sure my car isn't going to have a constant drone if I install it.
Under startup you will hear the intake as the engine goes through its emissions startup for a short period of time. Once that is done it will be louder under acceleration and should be fine while cruising or idling.
Follow Up on the question above: "Legal In CA" After Viewing the K&N site, they have a long list of states which do not allow these types of intake system.. The question above should have been rephrased: "What states is this short/ram air into legal?" Again and I'm on your side.. but I see no point in selling these products if we can't use them..
K&N is covering their backside by stating they may not be legal in some states. The decision to install one is up to the end user. You may need to install your stock intake back in the car if you go to an emissions test that does visual inspections.

Will this fit the Mazda 3 2014 Grand Touring Hatchback with SkyActiv?
This fits the 2014 Skyactiv GT Hatchback that is 2.5L, not the 2.0L.
Hello Corksport, after installing this intake... does it require periodic washing/cleaning/replacing? If so, how frequently? and how do we go about doing this?
The filter should probably be cleaned/washed every 6 months or so. Depending on how much you drive. Do not oil the filter, simply wash it with water and a cleaning solution.
Does this SRI offer an increase in torque as well?
It will increase torque also, probably about 2-3 ft.lbs
Is this part legal in california (carb approved)
It is not California legal, no CARB or EO approval.
Is there any effect on MPG better or worse?
It should not affect gas mileage for better or worse unless you change your driving habits.
