The CorkSport Advantage

Mazda 3 performance cold air intake

  • Designed Specifically for 2014-2018 Mazda 3:The CorkSport short ram intake parts have been designed and tested specifically for the Mazdas 3 2.5 L engine.
  • Velocity Stack Design:Engineered for performance, the stack design reduces turbulence by smoothing the incoming airflow and increasing the flow rate of air.
  • Durable Dry Flow Air Filter:  Each short ram intake includes a durable dry filter produced from a non-woven media designed to shred potential dirt from the vibrations of the engine. Unlike cotton or designs requiring oil, the filter keeps your SRI performing well for an extended period of time.
  • Custom Reinforced Silicone Connectors: The connectors are engineered with quality products to provide more strength, power, and a smooth airflow transition for less turbulence. The connector uses a multi-layer nylon braid that is durable and long-lasting.

This intake is very easy to install with basic tools and gives a nice bump in engine intake noise and top end power. The full potential is unlocked with an exhaust system and a tune but this was one of the first modifications I did to my 2018 2.5L and I love it.
Really nice quality, a bit tight for the hose and the throttle but at least you know its not going to move. I wish they were a bundled with the airbox for better price because if you don’t buy the airbox its kind of a hot air intake. Also I’m kind of sad that the black clamp is not listed in option it would look 10x better. Besides that Its sounds really nice, make you feel like the car is alive.
Throttle response is improved a bit, definitely suggest pairing this with the air box for max efficiency, also more throaty paired up with an exhaust. Cone filter is really good construction and quality, looks awesome and also sounds a lot better (hehe car go woosh)
This intake has a nice aggressive tone, there’s a little throttle lag after stopping then going again, but it’s not too noticeable.

You can definitely tell a difference when roll racing, acceleration feels faster and smoother.
10/10. If you have the axle catback or full cuaback from cork sport I highly recommend getting a short ram intake. The sounds has changed significantly, and the response from the paddle has increased.
Quick and simple install that drops a bit of weight and clutter from the engine bay. End result is a clean little unit that gives the car a bit more oomph. Butt dyno verified it added hp and the ears were pleased with the new zoom zoom sounds. 10/10 would recommend
Easy install, minimal tools needed. Perfect color of silicone and air filter. Just a perfect fit, install and performance all around they have Mazda’s in the bag. Definitely will have repeat business.
Had Zach and the guys from Corksport help me with the Combo purchase of the 2.5 SRI + Cold Air Box which was a big improvement to my Stock 2.5 GT Knight Sports.

Alot of people just do the SRI.. sure that is your call but we had the car put on a Dyno and the increase was what was advertised and than some! I have a BORLA to compliment this upgrade and a Corksport Midpipe and the Air flow increase all around has added enough to compete with a GTI and can beat BRZ and GT86s.

Had this part for a week so far and impressed as I am also trying now to run 91 and see if the increase goes further.

Thank you @Corksport I will promote your parts moving forward!

No its not a significant power adder to your mazda3. I got this with the cold air box combo and the install was a piece of cake even if you're not a mechanic. Does add a nice sound to acceleration, bit of a deeper growl than stock.
I purchased the short Ram Intake and was extremely impressed with the quality of the product as well as the ease of install. I also appreciated the power increase it provided to my 2.5L.

Follow Up on the question above: "Legal In CA" After Viewing the K&N site, they have a long list of states which do not allow these types of intake system.. The question above should have been rephrased: "What states is this short/ram air into legal?" Again and I'm on your side.. but I see no point in selling these products if we can't use them..
