Mazdaspeed Performance Turbo Inlet Intake Pipe Upgrade

Constructed from 60mm mandrel-bent aluminum with smooth sweeping curves for optimal flow, the CorkSport Mazdaspeed turbo inlet pipe provides a 14% improvement in flow over the restrictive stock turbo inlet pipe.

The CorkSport Advantage:

  • 60mm Mandrel bent aluminum piping: A true high-performance turbocharger inlet pipe that is made from aluminum piping unlike other silicone turbo inlet pipes on the market
  • Avoid unwanted check engine lights: Designed with a downstream recirculation valve fitting to prevent turbulence backwash around the MAF sensor and avoid unnecessary check engine lights and stumbling
  • Customize your engine bay:Offered in polished aluminum or powder-coated black with blue, red or black silicone to enhance the look of your engine bay.
  • 14% improvement in flow: Replace the restrictive shape of the OEM inlet pipe to improve and smooth airflow resulting in improved boost levels.
  • Compatible: Has been re-designed to fit seamlessly with the OEM intake as well as most aftermarket intakes.
  • Offered With or Without Breather Hose: Optional crankcase breather hose available for turbo vehicles affected by Mazda Service Bulletin #01-002/11 that received a factory fix for turbo smoking due to insufficient crankcase ventilation. This only applies to 2007-2009 Mazdaspeed 3 and CX7 built before July 2008. Click Here to see the whole TSB from Mazda. Page 3 shows a diagram on what to look for to see if your vehicle has had the TSB.
  • CorkSport Service and Support: Receive a two-year limited warranty, full-color installation instructions, all of the needed installation hardware, and knowledgeable telephone support

WARNING:The TIP does not work well with the Injen CAI. Requires custom bracket work to fit properly.

Installation Mazdaspeed Turbo Inlet Pipe

I have a SURE SRI. would this work with that?

CorkSport Reply:Yes it will.
i have the cobb sri will this fit

CorkSport Reply:Yes it will.
I bought my car used and I don't know if it had the service bulletin fix done. How do I check to see if I need to order this TIP with the breather hose or not? Also, could one order the pipe with the breather hose and simply cap it off if it doesn't need to be used? Would that cause air turbulence?

CorkSport Reply: It is easy to cap off and there would not be any increase in turbulence.
This part is great. turbo def spools faster. and after the cobb AP tune. a whole different car.
I have a 2013 speed3 and asure intake will this fit? And also will I need a vent breather hose

CorkSport Reply:This should work just fine and you will no need the breather hose.
Question: what kind of gains does the TIP offer when used with the stock airbox, versus an SRI?

CorkSport Reply:The power gains are around 6-7 at the wheels. The SRI gains are much higher.
Just installed in combo with the CS SRI with the stage III CAI upgrade. Love it. Spools much faster! Look and construction were top notch. I'm guessing I don't need hose clamps for the 2 small pieces of tuning on the TIP(?). It breathes louder than expected but sounds great.

Barry - slight whistle is normal.
Installed my beautiful black powdercoated TIP with blue hoses and BPV hose this morning. The pieces were just beautiful and install took a little over an hour. I did have an CS SRI installed already so I could skip a few steps, but overall it was a very easy install.

I would recommend however that you utilize a universal joint attachment when tightening the hose clamps to the turbo inlet. Makes the job that much easier. Also use a razor to cut a slit in the hose before you try to take it off the solenoid so you don't break it.

With an SRI and the stage 1 map, before the TIP install, I did notice a lag in turbo spool with the stock TIP. Now it spools much faster and smoother. All in all, in my opinion this is a worth while mod that will improve overall air intake and performance. Also, try to beat the price.

Installation wasn't difficult and the guide provided worked well. Running it with the stock airbox and Corksport panel filter has provided quicker turbo spool up and some nice induction noise. Given the price, the appearance, boost in performance and great service, I highly recommend this part
I have a 2013 mazdaspeed3. Do I need the vent breather hose?
