how to install Mazdaspeed 3 high pressure fuel pump internals

CorkSport
I am running a fully bolted 2007 speed 3. on a stock turbo at 21lbs peak target

through AP. and 3.5 FMIC over my Top mount ETS 3.5

I ran it last year and she struggled to maintain pressure at wot around 5k in 4th and 5th and 6th gear.

Just installed sunday after being one of the first to purchase the CS internal upgrade.

Yes i was intimidated.

Install was easier than i thought and wow. What a seat of the pants difference. smooth till redline in every gear. did my datalog wot to 130 at 21.36lbs peak and all parameters are fantastic.

Should have been my first mod if it was available.

My first mod was the CS MM insert. I should have known then , these was an engineered product !

Best mod ever.

wow. just wow

for anyone who is going to turn up the wick hard on a speed 3 this should be your first buy.

peace of mind.

These folks nailed it.
I mean CorkSport just hits the right note with every product. This was the install I feared the most. In reality it was very simple just make sure to take your time. I would recommend a 2nd pair of hands with putting the pump back in. Install time was right around 45 min to an hour for me and my brother. If your looking for a HPFP then look no further.
Very good product. Install was actually pretty simple. Getting that 17mm and 19mm to loosen up on the high pressure side was a little difficult. Don't be afraid of this install, just watch the video and you will be okay.

The car pulls a lot smoother now, there is no more "step". Once you get into the high end it pulls more. Gotta have the Cobb AP with this. I have Cobb AP, CS SRI/TIP, CS RMM, and CS HPFP and its running like a champ. Overall great product and really gives your car that power that you want.
Hi corksport I just ordered my fuel pump internals just this last Wednesday and I got it Saturday even with the cheapest shipping I got everything super fast I'm really happy. But one complaint I didn't get the installation tool with it ? Do I need that or can I install it without that part?
Pro Tip: Get an electric impact gun from harbor freight tools for 40 bucks and thank your self when you don't have any problems taking off the locking nut on the internals. Until I purchased this, doing this job was a challenge to say the least because you need to push down quite a bit over the factory spring to reach the nut itself and then twist. Neither the provided instructions nor any online videos tell you this explicitly. With an impact gun, its push down and pull the trigger, done.

That aside, I did all the data logging on this during quite a few WOT pulls and the fuel pressure held extremely stable right where it should. Working towards a stage 2 tune, I knew this piece was necessary and it definitely does what it says it will do. I also really like the fact that CorkSport provides all the needed tools to install this easily ... and man, that box it comes in ... so cool, I still have no idea what will have the honor of going inside it yet.

One quick thing I would mention: When I first installed this ... I was scared because the fuel pump seemed much louder than stock. Good news is that this is normal because the spring has more tension and after a 100 miles of working it in, the sound dies down. So if you install this, freak out because it makes a loud rhythmic ticking sound, fear not, its all good. Grinding or arhythmic sound ... pull it out fast, something went wrong.
One of the best purchases I've made for my Speed3. I was going to wait until I had my AP before I installed these internals, and I wish I hadn't waited. I have my AP ordered and on the way, so I installed these in preparation. I could feel the difference as soon as I started driving. The response and ability to maintain power through the entire RPM Range is 1000 times better now that I installed these. Normally I would feel a dropoff in power around 4000 RPMs, but I feel no dropoff at this point. Finally, my engine can keep up with the weight of my foot.

Corksport SRI, Racing RMM, Internals installed.. TIP, AP, Downpipe coming soon.

Thanks Corksport!!
I got my CS stage 2 SRI prior to getting the fuel pump internals and I can feel a difference after installing. Got the AP already and now time for a Downpipe! Corksport is the best in quality and shipping time!! A++
Hi CS team!

I've installed the internal, but I also have heard that I need to wait some miles to drive the Car at full throttle.

It is true? If so, how many miles do I need to wait?
Do you need the access port to tune your car after installing the hpfp internals?
Love this part! Made a big difference in my speed6

I installed this on my 11 Mazdaspeed3 and for some reason the car goes now rich, STFT is always -7 to -12.50, Replaced Maf, inspected MAf wiring, claps, TB gasket replaced, replaced TMIC with CS TMIC, stock intake/Inlet tried Silicone Inlet+ Custom Intake. When i removed and installed the OEM one values were back to normal, does this need any kind of tune?

Just purchased a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 with 135,000 miles on it. The car came with a Cobb SRI, but everything else is stock. The next step is to install high pressure fuel pump internals. Will replacing the internals on a high mileage car be fine with the existing fuel pump or should I replace the whole fuel pump and place the high flow internals in a new high pressure fuel pump?

I went to install these internals and noticed that the little O-ring that the piston passes through had degraded in my stock pump. Any ideas short of buying a new pump would be greatly appreciated?!?

My HPFP makes a loud clicking at the lightest touch of throttle between 2000-3000rpm. I've had CS internals in the hpfp for about 4 years. I replaced the fuel relief valve and even put in new CS HPFP internals and the problem persists. Does anyone on your team know the issue I'm experiencing and how to resolve it?

Hello, I installed the corksport internal in a brand new hitachi pump in my gti mk5 fsi engine 2008. The stock pump works perfectly fine, however with the corksport internals the car would have difficulty to start, like if the pump is not primed, and when the car does start the ecu throw the code p2293 Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 Performance code, and the car appears to be a limp mode. No boost no power. Apparently the car is experiencing fuel starvation. When I put back the stock internal in the pump, everything is normal. Any suggestion? Should I try with the stock spring?
