Give your car the performance appearance and edge you have been looking for with the new & improved CorkSport Lowering Springs for 2007-2013 Mazdaspeed 3. We went back to the drawing board and revised our springs to be better than ever! With a ride height drop approximately 1.1" in the front and 1.2" in the rear, your MS3 will have quicker turning response, crisper road feel, a more aggressive appearance, and less understeer, all while maintaining OEM or better ride quality. Check out full details down below or more in depth information in our Blog with development details.

The CorkSport Advantage

MPS3-lowering-springs

Performance Driven:

The CorkSport MS3 lowering springs offer better-handling characteristics due to the decrease in ride height and increase in spring rates. Lowering your vehicle reduces the center of gravity and when combined with increased spring rates, reduces body roll on your Speed giving you the confidence to enjoy that backroad. We also increased the rear spring rates more than the fronts. This helps with comfort and reduces understeer when at the limit of traction.

Stylish Ride Height:

We went through a few different variations of springs to get the best look before settling on our final ride height drop for both GEN1 and GEN2 speeds. Compared to OEM the front gets a drop of ~1.1” while the rear gets a drop of ~1.2”. These values will vary slightly depending on the year of your speed, modifications, and what shock & strut setup you have. This is a pretty aggressive drop with springs and is just about the lowest you can go without needing a coilover setup!

Spring Rates & Testing:

The major change for the new and improved CorkSport MS3 springs is the spring rates. We tested a few different rate setups using natural frequency analysis before deciding on 3.5K front and 4.5K rear spring rates. These rates are a great balance of performance and ride quality without overpowering typical MS3 dampers, whether OEM units or aftermarket ones.

OEM Fitment:

The CorkSport Mazdaspeed3 Lowering Springs install just like OEM with no need for additional special parts. The only drawback is you have to trim your OEM bump stops to allow for correct suspension travel before the bump stops are hit. This is easily done and we have full explanations in our install instructions!

Materials & Manufacturing:

Each CorkSport Lowering Spring is made from high tensile strength spring steel for long lasting function and reliable performance. Each spring is powdercoated for a great look and corrosion resistance. The rear springs are also finished off with spring silencers to eliminate unwanted spring noise.

Step by step Mazdaspeed 3 installation instructions for lowering springs

Hello! What is the difference between the blue springs and the black ones? I've seen some for sale by private vendors that are black in the pictures.

For install on a 2010 hatch with the 2.5, do you have a brand of dampers you would recommend as a good pairing? Planning on installing these along with the rear sway bar (already installed) and the front sway bar once all the parts have arrived

Would these fit onto a 2013 Mazda 3 sedan (more specifically the i sv trim)? If so then is there an approximate height drop for that, or at least would it be capable of clearing speed bumps?

i was planning on installing these on oem struts and i know people say that lowering springs cause premature failure for OEM struts. Is the lowering spring designed in a way that it wont cause premature failure?

I have a 2006 mazda 3 hatch on 18” wheels with roughly the same clearance as the stock tire size. I had it rub on the fender a couple times but has since been fixed. I’m waiting to put these springs on, and was wondering if they’d be stiff enough to not rub once I put them on. I’d be fine with the camber, it’ll help with clearance, but are these stiff enough to avoid rubbing?

Asked by Samu Labrecque | 06/16/2022, 09:00 AM | 1 answer(s)

Is there any rubbing on stock wheels?

Asked by Nic Bell | 06/03/2022, 09:09 AM | 1 answer(s)

I only need replacements for the front, would it be possible to buy springs just for the front since I don't need the rear springs?

Asked by Ryan Jones | 03/29/2022, 03:21 PM | 1 answer(s)

Does the back sit lower then the front? Or is the drop pretty even? I know with the previous version, The front sat lower then the back.
