Products in package

Track tested and racer approved, the CorkSport Lower Tie Bar is designed to add rigidity to the front suspension sub-frame. By connecting the inboard pivot points for the front lower control arms, the lower tie bar adds opposing strength to the sub-frame that helps reduce wheel hop and torque steer. In the opposite manner, the lower tie bar also helps improve braking performance. #ZoomZoom!

I had this brace installed on my 2011 MS3 at the same time as the CS FSB and end-links. Installation is straight-forward, but my car needed the spacers to clear the driver-side lower control arm bracket for what seems to be the headlight leveling sensor.

General impressions....the bar does lie a few inches from the oil drain plug, and draining oil will impact the bar. Be prepared for this splash pattern during oil changes. :-) The bar does become the lowest ground clearance assembly in the middle of the vehicle. Even with factory ride height, one should seriously consider changing one's approach to on-road obstacles from "straddle" to "dodge".

Driving impressions...unfortunately, I cannot decouple the brace's affects from the stiffer FSB at this time. I will remove the brace soon and can post a follow-up impression.

Overall, this is a high quality part. Just be aware of the oil change and ground clearance compromises.
Installed with no issues. Added some much needed stiffness to the front end. And torque steer was greatly reduced. Another awesome product CS!
My girlfriend bought this for Christmas for me. It went on that day.
Install: couldn’t be easier! Spray some pb blaster and wait. Back the bolts off, slip the bar on. Make sure it’s seated all the way, and ????, it’s done
Impressions: the bar is beefy. It fits fine on my 2012 ms3 with the stock undertray. I have the v1 cs rear motor mount and I’m currently stage 2 with supporting bolt ons. Tongue steer and wheel hop we’re still a big problem, but with the bar on there is little no none.
Other things to note: the front suspension feels more smooth now. Bumps don’t drop the wheel as harsh. Cornering feels tighter but not too much.
Lastly: this could be in my head but I’m pretty in tune with the feel of my car. Shifting feels more precise. I have the cs short shift plate, bushings and weight. They have been on for a long time. But after putting the bar on things just fall into gear with ease. I don’t feel synchros fighting me even in the cold weather. Like I said, maybe this is in my head but it’s a nice bonus. Someone please correct me if there is no way this is possible with just the bar :)
Great product!!
Very pleased with this brace. Install was simple, product was engineered very well, and it tightened the front end significantly. A must have for any mazdaspeed3 owner.
great product
This is a must have. It tightens the steering up and greatly reduces torque steer. Exactly what I was expecting, corksport never lets me down!
This simple add-on really helped put my wheel hop and torque steer into control. It really connects nicely, and I'm only using the eFocus mount. It eliminated any wheel hop i was still having with my softer motor mount, and torque steer has been significantly reduced.

Simple install, and great price...a must buy!
This piece literally SAVED MY TRANSMISSION. Buy it if you're running power for that reason alone! What happened was I foolishly bought a used POS transmission mount of Ebay. Installed it along with this Tire bar at the same exact time. Immediately after driving i felt clunking noise from the transmission hitting the bar, back to the lift to check . I Blew the used transmission mount (: but this strong guy held the tranny in place to get me back to the shop. Worth every penny for that alone. Also the ride and wheel hop is much reduced. Great product as always.
Massive reduction in torque steer as well as wheel hop. Fantastic product. every single speed should have this product on the car.
So far so good: just got this bar installed and my immediate first impressions are that turn-in feels sharper and torque steer definitely seems to be nicely reduced. This bar is bigger and beefier out of the box than I had expected, which gives me faith that it will do just what they claim it does.

Word of caution to those who live in areas that love their road salt/brine, though, like I do: if you're unlucky enough to have an LCA bolt rusted/seized to the steel inside of the bushing, you might find that you're in for a big ordeal with this "would have otherwise been super simple" install.
