Track tested and racer approved, the CorkSport Lower Tie Bar is designed to add rigidity to the front suspension sub-frame. By connecting the inboard pivot points for the front lower control arms, the lower tie bar adds opposing strength to the sub-frame that helps reduce wheel hop and torque steer. In the opposite manner, the lower tie bar also helps improve braking performance. #ZoomZoom!

The CorkSport Advantage

High Strength Design

Manufactured from 1”x0.120” wall tubing and 0.190” plate bracket ends, the design is non-adjustable for simplistic strength.

Track Tested

Drag race testing showed improvements in both 60 foot and ¼ mile consistency. Improved predictability under hard launches.

Additional Features

One of the best upgrades you can make. As an engineer, it is impressive to feel what this item provides. It is direct and immediate. You will love it!
First modification to my MS3 since I purchased it brand new. Noticed an immediate difference in handling, control of torque steer, and balance. Tires have more contact patch now resulting in better grip, steering, and accelerating. Simple install and very good product. Very glad I made this investment.
Installed the lower tie bar from corksport in less than 15 minutes! Super easy install and a good quality part. I’ve heard plenty of good things about this upgrade but had to test it out myself. I wasn’t so sure that a simple metal bar across the bottom of the car would make much of a difference but boy was I wrong!

I got to take the car to the track a few days later and was blown away by how flat and stable the car felt around the corners and powering out of them. I would absolutely recommend this to someone as an easy first install or someone who has a heavily modified speed3!
I swapped out another company’s lower tie bar for this one and it’s been great! The CS bar is much beefier than the old one I had and way more solid being bent tubed metal vs. welded rectangle stock that was half as thick. Fitment is also tighter to the subframe/engine so it doesn’t hang as low with a lowered car. Still plenty of space for oil changes and wastegate tubes though!

Longest part of the install was removing the bolts for the old tie bar but this CS bar is great since you don’t have to remove a single bolt to install it! It made my car stiffer and keeps wheel hop to nothing making over 600hp with drag radials. Amazing product and highly recommend for anyone wanting a stiffer chassis and more traction.
If you are trying to go for higher horsepower like me but don’t necessarily want to install a widebody and beefier tires… this is a good solution. Install was smooth and painless (like 99% of CorkSport products always are) and instructions were easy to follow.

On my first test drive I could NOT stop smiling. Torque steer, what torque steer? With stickier tires (like my Pilot sport 4s) and this tie bar, wheel hop has become a thing of the past as well. Highly recommend this investment if you are tired of wheel hop and torque steer like I was! Also check out the front and rear sway bars for further stability and handling!
Installed this on my 2008 Mazda3 5MT with virtually zero issues. Not having a turbo, I don't have the issue of torque steer, however this completely eliminated wheel hop, keeps the front end more planted over bumps and feels like it shifts slightly smoother also. Extremely happy with the purchase, can't wait to autocross it! Every Mazda 3 and MS3 really needs to have this brace! Corksport, list this under the regular 3 listings also!
Great product as expected. Only complaint, is that it does not work with my HTP under route FMIC piping. I liked how the car felt for the short time it was on. Now I just need to re-route a couple intercooler pipes to run both. I still think it is 5 Star worthy.
Perfect fit, way to follow directions and it does what it says.

Cab launches better now and less lean through corners which allows the tires to hook up much better
Eliminated all traces of wheel hop. Had done after coilovers, all motor mounts, & Anti-Lift Kit, but any traces of remaining hop were completely eliminated.

Whether this is your first upgrade or your last, it will help!
Hello everyone from Havana Cuba. I must say i am lucky down here. I am the only owner of a gen 1 2007 Mazda 3 hatchback i have the car for almost 9 years now... Involved also in a soul crossover as i call my project Turning it in a Gen 1 Speed 3. Step by step... I got the Corksport lower tie bar, thanks to a friend of mine that help me buying it and take it down here to this crazy eternal summer almost stoped in time. I have installed the thing and i must say: It's an incredible leap forward on feeling and handling performance. Also shifting is a LOT better and easier. Like night to day since i have 6 speed gear already installed..A more sharper and acurate action on the gear selector and even shorter shift distance mostly from 2 to 3rd and 4 gear, (no short shifter installed yet) All this with the stock speed3 shifter ..So bad i am so far. But all my effort in to keep my eyes on Corksport stuff to incorporate in my built... Thanks very much. Warm regards from Havana. Nice job on the bar..✌

Would this cause a “too stiff” factor if installed along with a rear sway bar? Or is it recommend to have both, to keep wheels planted on turns and wot??

I have the v1 (original design) lower tie bar. Love it. It does all the things listed above. If this one is truly stronger, it's a huge win for you.

This thing was one of my first upgrades and is a must have.

So far so good: just got this bar installed and my immediate first impressions are that turn-in feels sharper and torque steer definitely seems to be nicely reduced. This bar is bigger and beefier out of the box than I had expected, which gives me faith that it will do just what they claim it does.

Word of caution to those who live in areas that love their road salt/brine, though, like I do: if you're unlucky enough to have an LCA bolt rusted/seized to the steel inside of the bushing, you might find that you're in for a big ordeal with this "would have otherwise been super simple" install.

Massive reduction in torque steer as well as wheel hop. Fantastic product. every single speed should have this product on the car.

This piece literally SAVED MY TRANSMISSION. Buy it if you're running power for that reason alone! What happened was I foolishly bought a used POS transmission mount of Ebay. Installed it along with this Tire bar at the same exact time. Immediately after driving i felt clunking noise from the transmission hitting the bar, back to the lift to check . I Blew the used transmission mount (: but this strong guy held the tranny in place to get me back to the shop. Worth every penny for that alone. Also the ride and wheel hop is much reduced. Great product as always.

This simple add-on really helped put my wheel hop and torque steer into control. It really connects nicely, and I'm only using the eFocus mount. It eliminated any wheel hop i was still having with my softer motor mount, and torque steer has been significantly reduced.

Simple install, and great price...a must buy!

This is a must have. It tightens the steering up and greatly reduces torque steer. Exactly what I was expecting, corksport never lets me down!

Very pleased with this brace. Install was simple, product was engineered very well, and it tightened the front end significantly. A must have for any mazdaspeed3 owner.

My girlfriend bought this for Christmas for me. It went on that day.
Install: couldn’t be easier! Spray some pb blaster and wait. Back the bolts off, slip the bar on. Make sure it’s seated all the way, and ????, it’s done
Impressions: the bar is beefy. It fits fine on my 2012 ms3 with the stock undertray. I have the v1 cs rear motor mount and I’m currently stage 2 with supporting bolt ons. Tongue steer and wheel hop we’re still a big problem, but with the bar on there is little no none.
Other things to note: the front suspension feels more smooth now. Bumps don’t drop the wheel as harsh. Cornering feels tighter but not too much.
Lastly: this could be in my head but I’m pretty in tune with the feel of my car. Shifting feels more precise. I have the cs short shift plate, bushings and weight. They have been on for a long time. But after putting the bar on things just fall into gear with ease. I don’t feel synchros fighting me even in the cold weather. Like I said, maybe this is in my head but it’s a nice bonus. Someone please correct me if there is no way this is possible with just the bar :)
Great product!!

Installed with no issues. Added some much needed stiffness to the front end. And torque steer was greatly reduced. Another awesome product CS!
