Engineered with exacting tolerances, the CorkSport Mazda 3 Short Ram Intake includes our precision machined MAF housing made from billet aluminum, a durable dry flow air filter and custom reinforced silicone connector. The CorkSport 2010-2013 Mazda 3 Short Ram Intake has been designed for the 2.0L standard and now SkyActiv engines. In initial testing with the 2.0 Liter SkyActiv engine, the CorkSport Mazda 3 Short Ram Intake netted peak gains of +5 HP and +6 lb torque at the wheels.
*Can be used with the gasoline engine only. Does not work on diesel engines. With the CorkSport Intake installed on the SkyActiv engine, at higher RPM's you may hear a slight ticking from the opening and closing of the injectors. This is completely normal and is what helps increase torque and fuel economy.
Please make sure of the model of 2.0 engine you have in your Mazda 3. The 2.0 Standard and 2.0 Skyactiv intakes are not interchangable.

I just recently added the SRI to my Mazda 3 Skyactiv. On the OEM air intake, there was a tube going from the radiator into the tubing to the throttle. With the new unit, that has now left an opening coming from the radiator. Do I need to do anything about this?
There should not be any lines going from the radiator to the throttle. They are two completely different systems. If you have an unplugged hole on your radiator and extra hoses, you may have unplugged something you did not need to. You may want to refer to your owners manual for the use of that opening.
Does this intake work with Mazda 3 Skyactiv models that were sold new in California? I read that 3's sold new in California are slightly different in their emissions systems and thus aren't compatible with most of these intakes, specifically one I was looking at from K&N. My 3 is part of test group DTKXV02.0NC1.
Emissions is tied to exhaust. The intake is before the motor and should not create an issue.
Does this come with air straightener?
Yes it does
But WHY isn't the airbox available? I see that you have them for other models? Can it be specially ordered? Not as though it's a complicated thing to make since y'all have the equipment and design.
We used to sell the airbox, but due to low volume of sales and needing to reallocate resources, we discontinued the item years ago. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Are the components made in North America or overseas?
The filter and billet machined MAF housing is made here in the US. The silicone is designed here and then outsourced overseas to be produced
If the air box isn’t available anymore then what could be the best alternative method for upgrading our air intake? Not having an air box for this makes keeping that hot air out complicated.
We have seen a few people construct an air guide to isolate the filter
