This product was designed for the 2.0L engines... the air inlet on this box is 30% smaller than the OEM air inlet that comes with the 2.5L engines.

If you have a 2.5L engine, this cold air box will starve your engine of air under higher loads and decrease the engines power.

The OEM cold air intake that came with the car will produce greater HP and torque numbers on a dyno with the 2.5L engine than you would get with this part installed.

I am disappointed.



The plastic does not match other products under the hood. Im from Europe,and here the police is very strict about aftermarket parts that dont have TÜF certificate. So it would be better if the plastics matched with original mazda plastics. Also CS logo on the lid, i would rather have a removable sticker.If you are not from Europe you dont have to worry about that.



Another disappointing thing is the lid. It doesnt have a seal.I had to buy sillicone to seal it. Why screws for the lid? It would be easyer if it just snaps in place,like oem box.Would look better too.



At low rpm and full throttle, box vibrates very loudly. Not a nice sound. Fixed it by sealing the lid and reinforcing the inside of the box.



The biggest problem is water. When is raining, alot of water is pulled in, rain and muddy water. Still figuring out how to fix this.



I hope this comment will serve to improve products in the future.

I got a cold air box to go with my short ram intake to try to get fresh cold air to my engine and protect the filter from the sand/salt/freezing rain/snow that my car gets bombarded with over Canadian winters.



I'm really happy with the air box! The fit and finish is great, the box feels well made and robust, and it offers great protection for the filter.



A few things I would recommend is that it would be nice is Corksport included stainless steel fasteners for the air box, and if there was some sort of weather stripping to seal the lid. I bought my own stainless steel bolts to combat corrosion, and have been looking for a rubber edge seal to put around the top of the air box. Lastly, it would be nice of there was some way to ensure the silicone intake didn't rub against the air box to prevent chaffing.

Great product nearly matches stock plastics, looks good under the hood. The biggest downfall is the rattling and added vibrations. Since this will not be something you open up and check daily I would recommend that you use red locktite on the lid screws in order to keep the lid tightly sealed maybe even silicone the lid shut it will dampen the vibrations significantly I did this after a few days do to vibrations car feels almost stock. Before I used lock tight the vibrations got worse and effected the drive greatly and I nearly lost a screw do to harsh vibrations ( this is why I recommend red locktite) Still needs to be tuned though the intake does add a little more pull up top but definitely needs a tune to maximize efficiency. Last but not least it does make the cars induction note much more pronounced so if you're not a fan of that I'd suggest going with a dry panel filter and calling it a day. The OEM intake has a strange design that runs a very long length in order to quiet induction sound. I enjoy the sound but it may not be for others.

Hey, I installed this on my 2015 Mazda 6 iTouring. I have had a huge amount of shaking in the bay and when i recently checked it out... all of the previous screws that they came with in the package had all fallen loose inside the box. My brother also has a 2015 Mazda 6 with an intake like me. But he didnt buy the coldbox and im loosing to him everytime..... What Gives? PLEASE HELP

My tuner recommended another brand of SRI, but the part throttle pumping noise was just too much for my older ears. CorkSport's FAQ said their Cold Air Box would accommodate my SRI, order was placed immediately. Install was a breeze, noise is now reduced to a less obtrusive level of NVH.

Fit and finish are good, looks really good there in the engine bay. Money well spent, I didn't have to cobble something together and hope it was effective.

Ive had this installed for some months now and i like it, i like that it fits in the OEM mounts. I just hate that it vibrates and one corner rubs on the hood and makes a very anoying rattle noise.

I have had the Cool Air Box installed for just over a week. I am very happy with how they incorporated the Mazda designed airflow source. I can feel that there is less bog down and heat swap when driving.



The engineering is good. My only complaint is that there is significant amount of vibration at times. Definitely a plus though performance wise.

My car is a Mazda 6 2.0L (EU market) 145 HP.

I confirm it is compatible with Injen Short Ram Intake Mazda 3 2.0L (13-17) Polished / Black (Item #: SP6068P). But You need to cut off 3cm of the aluminum tube from the side of the dry air filter (5minutes of work), otherwise it will not fit. I had installed a sports muffler (not corksport, another European mark), the Injen short ram intake and then I made the ECU remap (stage 2).

The results were as following : - Before the tuning : 145 engine HP and after the tuning : 190 engine HP. You gain normally from 145HP to 175HP with a simple ECU remap. But with the muffler and the short ram intake and Corskspot Airbox I gained more HP.

Be awaren the sound can hurt your ears with the airbox. I don't like it personnally but I am planning to make it more quiter by using some noise insulation mats.

PS : Since, Injen is selling the short intake systems for the USA market, there's no info that the short ram intake is compatible with Mazda 6 2.0L (European version), but it fits perfectly for the Mazda 6 2.0L for European market.

Firstly I notice that people buy just the SRI.. for me it was the 2.5.. Best decision to get both, ease of installation was just an hour if not maybe less if you are picky on install time numbers.

Compliments the design, its a shiny plastic upgrade ... for those criticizing the plastic for not being the same colour.. its Aftermarket its going to look newer than your stock parts.. that is just common sense.

Incease of HP for sure with the 2.5 SRI. Both have been working wonders.
Proudly have my CS Sticker representing these guys and gals for helping the 3rd Gen community!

Id give it a 6 Stars since it has made my CS Midpipe and BORLA axleback sound BEASTLY now!

This is definitely a must have if you have have or are thinking about getting the CS SRI for your 2.0L Mazda 3. Super easy to install and the clarity of the instructions made the install even easier and doubt free.

Does great, helps keep extra heat away from the intake while also adding a nice clean look to the engine bay and gives a bit more noise to the intake. One thing I will advise is to use Loctite or some other threadlock as some of the screws for the lid can back out over time.

Install is super easy and quick, though negligible it is lighter than the oem box so I guess you could say it offers weight reduction lol

My only gripe is that there is no quick access to the air filter and that there is a large gap between it and the cold air intake
