At just over 7lbs, the aluminum CorkSport Mazda Big Brake Kit shaves almost 7lbs of unsprung weight off of each corner of your Mazda, all while adding more stopping power and a much better pedal feel.

Crafted from lightweight billet aluminum, the CorkSport calipers use an opposed piston design that is fixed to provide greatly improved pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to the OEM design.

  • Compatible with:
    • 2014-2018 Mazda 3
    • 2014+ Mazda 6
    • 2013+ Mazda CX-5

Available in 3 anodized colors, this brake system includes everything you need to easily upgrade your stock braking system and includes high strength steel brackets, calipers, stainless steel braided front brake lines, brake pads, all necessary hardware, and one-piece 325mm rotors. The CorkSport Advantage

Mazda 3 big brake kit

Performance Advantage

Weight, heat, and force define the key performance aspects of any brake system.

Despite having a larger rotor, the CorkSport Mazda BBK weighs nearly 7lbs less than the OEM brake system per corner. That is a substantial amount of unsprung mass.

Braking is the act of using friction to reduce wheel speed. The by-product is heat, and a lot of it. With the 4 piston caliper and larger rotor, you have effectively increased the brake system's thermal mass capacity.

With the larger brake pads and 4 piston setup, you are able to apply more force to the rotor at any given time. This reduces stopping times and improves pedal feedback.

4-Pot Calipers

CorkSport calipers are manufactured from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and anodized for a professional finish.

Mazda 6 big caliper kit

Performance Rotors

The CorkSport 325mm rotors are 28mm larger diameter than OEM and are manufactured from FC25 Gray iron for its high heat stability.

Mazda 3 race tested big brake kit

Performance rotors were designed specifically for the Mazda 3 to provide great performance without compromising fitment. No wheel spacers are needed to fit these with your OEM 17" or 18" wheels.

I have had multiple issues with the stock brakes that came on my 2014 Mazda 6. From early warping and too soft of brake pads, I thought upgrading to EBC brand would resolve those issues. Less than 10,00 miles, the failed attempt at "upgrading" to EBC pads and rotors, I encountered the same issues as the stock Mazda brakes and was very disappointed in the quality of the EBC brakes.

After much thought and weighing the financial options on what to do next, I decided to buy these brakes. With the help of Brett at CorkSport, he reassured me these brakes were the way to go. Additionally, to match the back rotors with the rotors in this kit, he suggested the Stoptech brake brand and they could not have been a better match to compliment these brakes.

If you are looking for a better responding brake system with increased stopping power and performance, these are the way to go. As I am sure all of the staff members at CorkSport are just as helpful as Brett was for myself, you will not be disappointed in the service, parts quality as well as the ease of installation.

Very high quality and I will be surely returning to CorkSport to add to my Mazda 6!

Thank you CorkSport and Brett!
I recently installed the Corksport BBK on my 2014 Mazda6 and very happy with the results. First, the looks of the BBK look great with any aftermarket wheel setup compared to the stock setup. Second, the stopping power and brake pedal feel is very good. Third, the installation was very straightforward and manageable for your weekend mechanic.

A few tips if you are DIY...

1. Always use a line wrench for the brake line, don't use a 10mm combo wrench. You can find a line wrench at most automotive stores for 5 bucks.
2. If you live in states that have winters (and salt), have a medium pair of vice grips in the event the brake line is seized and the line wrench cannot loosen the line.
3. Loosen the line, do not disconnect it until you have the new rotor/caliper/line installed to the hub. You can rest the stock caliper on your control arm (or in my case, since the car was not too high, on the ground). This will lessen the amount of brake fluid lost when changing the lines.
4. If you don't have a power bladder, make sure to have another person help you bleed the brakes. If you follow step 3, it will take you 10 minutes tops to bleed.
Quantity one means 1 set which will include 4 set of big brakes n disc?

***CorkSport Answer*** This is just a front kit, 2 calipers, brackets, brake lines, and rotors.
Easy install, fit with OEM 17" rims. stops on a dime.
Product is great. Works perfect have had for about a year now and no problems. Was the first one to have on the CX-5. BE ADVISED WITH THE 17" OEM RIM SPACERS ARE NEEDED TO FIT.

Can you please design the back set with E Brake as well. I'm having a hard time finding any performance brakes for a 2016 mazda 3 I sport that still have any form of E Brake. If you were to do this I would Definitely be buying two sets of the brake kit.
