Stiffen the Chassis
In keeping with upgrading the chassis we have designed and released two braces to get the most out of your Mazda 2's handling. The first piece is a front strut tower bar which ties the mounting locations of the struts together. This makes the suspension more responsive to heavy loads and quick steering inputs.
The second chassis brace we have made is the one which fits in the rear hatch. The brace connects to the chassis at the mounting points for the rear shocks so when you put a heavy load on the suspension the brace helps stiffen the chassis on the open hatch area of the Mazda 2. The big plus with the brace is the quick release pins for the center bar. This allows you to keep the storage space in the hatch by being able to pull the cross bar out without having to un-install the whole brace.
Both braces really add to the composure of the Mazda 2 during autocross events, even at the ones with surface transitions and uneven contact patches giving me a greater feeling of confidence at higher speed.
