Sponsorship Guide
CorkSport Mazda Performance Sponsored Vehicles
- Sponsorship Guide -
THANK YOU for your interest in becoming a CorkSport Sponsored Driver!
Our program is made up of individuals hand-selected by CorkSport for their online positivity, platform knowledge, and continued contributions to support and grow the Mazda Community. We sponsor drivers throughout the US and Canada and will be expanding into Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
How Do I Get Sponsored by CorkSport?
If you are an active member of the online Mazda Community, you have seen this question more than once. The responses posted by individuals can be helpful, flat-out funny, or ridiculous depending on the mood behind the keyboard.
By taking a few moments to digest the information below and implementing steps one, two, and three, you are exponentially increasing your chances of earning a CorkSport Sponsorship!
Although receiving an offer to be sponsored takes time, we challenge you to support the Mazda Community, expand your social media presence, and show us you are a CorkSport Fan!
So, let's dive into how to do just that!
Sponsorship Is A Three Step Process
Our main goal has always been to identify individuals interested in working together to build a strong, positive Mazda Community, both online and in your local area.
As a CorkSport Sponsored Driver, we expect you to uphold and apply our company ideals while actively promoting a positive social media environment, steering negative threads back to a positive light, and actively answering technical questions.
Together, we need to keep it positive, share our knowledge, celebrate each other’s rides, and build the community we want to be a part of!
So how do you fit in?
Step 1. Support The Mazda Community
- Be a positive and active member of the Mazda Community, lend a hand to those who have questions, and consistently help keep the information sharing accurate and drama-free. The community needs individuals who are level-headed and not averse to correcting misconceptions to course-correct a conversation/thread to create a positive, informed outcome.
- When needed - add links to our blog/white papers or free electronic instructions to help people understand installations and educate first-time Mazda owners.
- Actively participate in local meets, attend events, and potentially host events – such as Mazdas at the Dragon!
- It should be of no surprise that we have historically sponsored quite a few customers directly from our 7th Gear Facebook Page, an included benefit of our paid 7th Gear Membership! They understand our company culture, share our ideals, and strive to support the larger community at hand.
- You might be one of the 1.8M + users that like to add a little fun/humor to your posts or responses using our growing library of GIFs.
Step 2. Be Active On Social Media
- You ACTIVELY maintain an active Facebook and Instagram page year-round!
- You ACTIVELY comment on other people's posts- providing encouragement, support, and education, and are always willing to lend a hand in solving installations/maintenance issues.
- You ACTIVELY post great pictures of your ride (your may have mad editing skills), you love sharing your installation pics/reels/videos, and you post your experiences attending events or racing your car within your Mazda Facebook groups.
Step3. You're A CorkSport Fan
- You know and love our brand, you are knowledgeable about our parts, and you follow us on social media.
- To show it, you are already running some of our parts and are excited to post and share your experience with others, and you are already adding at least 15 HP in CorkSport Stickers as well - on your windows and in the engine bay.
- When you do share & create meaningful content, you always use #CorkSport in your Facebook posts, and you always tag us in your Instagram content and or request a collab!
Is It Really That Simple?
No, not quite. Once we identify potential sponsored drivers, we monitor candidates to determine if they remain consistent with steps #1, #2, and #3 above.
TBH, this can take time to vet to ensure we (together) are a good fit and that you will mesh well with our current Sponsored Driver Group. The last thing we want is to rush into sponsoring an individual and then have to continuously chase them to complete the steps above.
Any Advice for Those Interested in Sponsorship?
Don’t give up!
Although we have limited sponsorship spots available, we review our needs continuously throughout the year and may make changes at any time.
Please wait for us to reach out to you directly because we know you are an awesome Mazda enthusiast. Telling us why you should be sponsored has never worked. Instead, putting in the work and showing us why you are a fantastic fit will capture our attention.
Regardless, we are looking forward to working with you to build and support a stronger Mazda community.
Cheers,
CS
