Purchased to test fit on a ‘18 Mazda3 we track race. Come to find out it fit with no modifications to facelift models. Upgraded the hardware to 10mm bolt heads and washers, then bolted the drain cover on to reduce risk of it coming off. Looks good and adds more protection then the factory plastic cover. Will be testing it’s protect on track next event.

The CorkSport aluminum skid plate while simple is quite a solid piece, and fits better than OEM. Installation is simple and straightforward using the supplied hardware. Once installed you will still have access to oil plug and filter via removable door. This took me about 45 minutes total and I have not had any issues with mounting hardware coming loose over thousands of miles.
If your OEM tray is damaged or missing I would highly consider upgrading or replacing with this skid plate, it got that way for a reason. This will give you piece of mind as it will help protect your vehicle from potential damage from road debris and the elements. This is especially important if you have added aftermarket components, wiring, hoses etc.
Overall I am quite satisfied, there have already been a few instances on less than ideal road surfaces or encounters with debris that I have not had to worry about potential damage. This peace of mind is well worth the cost.

Lightweight and durable, the CS aluminum skid plate is a great addition to any lowered vehicle, especially if you live in areas where your undercarriage can be threatened by rocks, snow, ice, etc.
I've had the plate on for a few months now and it definitely gives me peace of mind while I'm out and about, my OE tray was trashed by a chunk of ice in the road and I no longer worry.
Install was also super easy and straightforward, the instructions are well laid out and leave no questions unanswered. Removal for work is also really easy, and having access to the oil drain plug is a big help.

As someone who previously owned a different metal skidplate I can say this is a HUGE improvement. This Corksport skidplate is significantly easier to install, covers a much larger portion of my underbody, doesn't rust thanks to the aluminum construction and stainless hardware, and is extremely durable. My old metal skidplate only covered directly underneath the motor, it would rust, and was susceptible to bending fairly easily if hit. This skidplate is absolutely fantastic especially for someone like me who lives in an area with harsh winters, and I love that it retains access to the oil filter and plug just like OEM. An absolute must-have for lowered cars!

The CorkSport Skidplate is very easy to install, and very durable. It is a precision fit, and It has gone through some tough environments as well. We also have one on our 2021 Mazda 3, and that one has been through rough train tracks with pavement that was sitting up high, and it protected the bottom of our car as we smacked the ground! A small price for a piece of mind.

A must have for any Mazda 3 owner, lowered or not! This skid plate is not only a perfect fit, but is leagues above the OEM plate in terms of protection and durability. Since lowering, I have actually bottomed out quite a few times. Thank goodness I had this plate to protect my precious engine bits. Not a week after installing it, I had the misfortune of running over a piece of tire at 80mph, and the skid plate excelled at its job. Out of curiosity, I pulled over to inspect, and sure enough, the tire left a big beautiful skid mark under where my oil pan sits. I can pretty confidently say that had I had the OEM plate still, I would have had a lot more than just a skid mark.
Initial install is best done with 2 people, but after that maintenance is a breeze. CorkSport allowed easy access to the oil filter and drain plug.
Overall, a great piece that saves you money in the long term!

I’ve been running this skid plate for thousands of miles, and it has been a worthwhile purchase. Quality of materials is outstanding, which is no surprise from CorkSport.
My biggest complaint is that the frontmost OE screws are reused. After some time the front section became loose because these OE coarse-thread screws are fastened to plastic U-nuts, and the plastic cannot support the weight of the aluminum skid plate, so they eventually stripped out. I replaced them with 1/4-20 metal quick nuts which are much sturdier. Something like this should be included with the kit, since this could pose as a hazard if the skid plate became sufficiently loose and grabbed onto the road.
Another minor complaint is the variety of hardware involved. Having to pull out my allen keys and phillips and multiple sockets just to take off the skid plate feels like a design oversight.
These complaints can be easily remedied by a trip to the hardware store. Hard to justify the extra steps for the 300 dollar price tag, though. All in all, this is a great product.
