To use this product on a Mazdaspeed 3 or Mazdaspeed 6 which has a cartridge style oil filter you need to swap to the 2nd gen Mazdaspeed 3 spin on filter base/filter or it will not fit/work.
Product does not work with 2014 and newer Mazda 3 models.

easy install even though i had to buy the spin-on housing for a gen 2 mazdaspeed 3. now I just have to buy the gauges.....lol

Super easy install. Works perfectly. I've got an oil pressure gauge on it and will install oil temp sometime.

Customer service is fantastic. I ordered this with my car listed as "2005 Mazda 3S". A rep called me and told me that this may not fit my car if I didn't have the adapter for the spin-on oil filter (stock 2.3L have the cartridge style). I told him that I did a Duratec 2.5 swap and it already had the spin on style, and he was both impressed and interesting in the build. Love the fact that they care enough to check to make sure the part will fit and call to ensure the order is correct. GREAT JOB!

I have one on my Pu now but when I saw that CS added one to their inventory, it was a must buy because I know they sourced everything accordingly and the install will be a breeze.

So I bought this for my 05 mazda 3 to make this work you must buy. Said housing, but u will also need the external oil housing that comes on the speed 3 I found them for about 35 online but sourced a bolt n cooler for 50 shipped as the bolt looks special made, n it does interfere with a coolant line but is easy to deal with, I also like the speed 3 filter size compared to the 2.0, housing.
