Performance, Reliability, and Sound for your build…this is the exhaust manifold for your Mazdaspeed 3. You are looking at the only performance exhaust manifold that can fit 3 different turbo flange options: Stock Mazda Flange, T3 Flange, Precision V-Band and Tial V-Band. This modular design allows you to choose your flange style and change it later without replacing the entire manifold. Cast from 304SS, there are no welded flanges or connections that are prone to cracking and each flange surface is precision machined for flatness. Whether you are stock turbo or looking for the most powerful stock flange turbo, the CST6, this manifold supported 685 Whp with ease and don’t forget the specifically designed dumptube that makes life easy for you.
30-40whp gains over an XS Power V3 and faster spooling. This is the result of a well designed, high flow exhaust manifold. Power over the entire curve results in better drive ability and faster times at the track.
Each component is CAD designed and validated on car for fitment and performance. Three components: the manifold, flange elbow, and dumptube come together to create the most complete exhaust manifold kit available.
The CorkSport exhaust manifold utilizes 1.59 inch inner diameter runner for superior high power flow and smooth radius bends to reduce exhaust gas velocity losses vs the sharp bends and 1.41 inch runners found on the XS Power V3 and similar tubular exhaust manifolds. Exhaust gas velocity and smooth flow are the keys to an efficient and powerful exhaust manifold design. Utilizing casting vs tubular allows us to optimize both of these critical aspects.
Through a combination of computer aided flow simulations and flow bench testing, the CorkSport Exhaust Manifold was optimized to increase peak flow capacity and thus performance. Flow bench testing at 28 inches of H2O showed an average CFM flow improvement of 45% over OEM and 33% over XS Power V3.
A shallow 16 degree angle collector with a defined “bullet” point was utilized to increase flow efficiency into the turbine for improved peak flow and power. Paired with individual runner lengths that vary from 10.50 to 12.40 inches, the CorkSport manifold improves flow balance while maintaining the unique Mazdaspeed exhaust note.
The only exhaust manifold available today that lets you choose your flange style and change it later for minimal cost and headache. With a modular flange design you can choose a Stock, T3, PTE V-Band or Tial V-Band flange today and if you change your build in the future you only need the new flange elbow, not the whole manifold. Designed for standard 44mm V-Band External Wastegates.
With the unique location of the EWG we developed a custom fit 2-piece dumptube that makes installation easy. You can add this optional dumptube and avoid the high cost and time to have a custom dumptube fabricated. Designed to work with most typical downpipe and turbo setups.
With the high heat and pressure demands put on the exhaust manifold; material and strength are critical. The CorkSport manifold is investment cast from 304 stainless steel with 0.50in (13mm) thick flanges and 0.20in (5mm) thick runner walls. This manifold is beefy so it can handle the high power high heat reliably.
It will take you 5 hours to install the CorkSport Mazdaspeed Exhaust Manifold with our easy-to-use instructions.

Will this manifold fit with a gtx 3071r?
Yes
Does the dump tube work with a cpe downpipe?
Have not tested fitment with that downipe
Is this appicable to IWG cars? Namely CST4.
It will work on IWG cars, requires a EWG block off plate for the manifold
This downpipe can instal into Model CX-5 2.5Turbo Malaysia Model or not.
No
Do you have data for this Exhaust manifold in N/A engine? I need a Header with scavering effect with my race car ( Mazda 3 TC2000 category), it's a naturally aspirated but i like test in race N/A motor.
Multiple other sources (reddit and YouTube) mention dropping the turbo. But the your instructions and the service manual don't mention dropping it to get 10/8/6 nuts/studs out. Thoughts on this?
If the official service manual and our instructions present the same info, I think the official recommendation is clear. However, that does not mean that alternative methods may work easier for some people.
Do you need to be tuned for this?
Yes, this requires a tune after install.
Does this exhaust manifold come with new manifold studs? Also, I read that this manifold deletes the EGR connection, is that true?
The manifold does not come with new studs. It does remove the EGR
Can I use this manifold with Garrett G25-550 turbo (v band turbine inlet flange) ?
Yes, if you order the appropriate flange elbow.
The Tial one I suppose?
Garett uses specific flanges, you would need to find the correct one for that turbo. It could be a T3
I heard that Cobb Accessport will no longer remove the EGR code. I prefer not to have a dummy light that I have to check constantly. Is there a way to remove the code by either 1) Modifying the manifold to accept EGR; or 2) some other way to remove the code? And if I am stuck with not being able to have EGR, do I need an EGR block off plate?
Most tuners are no longer removing CEL codes. There is a way to run the EGR valve with the manifold, it just takes a little creativity.
Do you recommend thermal ceramic coating, or header wrap? I've read that header wrap can destroy a header, is that true?
We actually just released an exhaust manifold blanket. We recommend that or cerakote.
If I order this without the dump pipe, am I able to get the dump pipe later? Or if I order it with the dump pipe, can I use it with out installing it for awhile until I’m ready to install with my next bigger turbo and external wastegate?
The dump tube standalone part is available at this link https://corksport.com/dumptube-kit-for-mazdaspeed-exhaust-manifold.html
Will these pass California emissions? And do they come with a carb sticker?
They are not CARB approved
Will this work with Tial vband turbine housing?
Yes, we have a Tial turbo option available.
What is the biggest turbo you can fit with this stock location manifold?
It is stock flange, so CST6
Sorry I should of specified the flange. I meant whats the biggest turbo on a stock location manifold with a PTE flange?
While you recommend an upgraded intercooler prior to using this exhaust manifold, will this exhaust manifold work with the Corksport Upgraded TMIC?
To get the full capabilities, we recommend upgrading the intercooler. You can run it with our TMIC and FMIC options.
Is it possible to install this manifold with the OEM TMIC ?
We know it will work with a TMIC. However, I would recommend an upgraded Intercooler prior to an exhaust manifold.
Will the heatshield work with this manifold with the TPMIC?
Based on the position and routing of the wastegate it looks like it would be easy to recirc into the bell mouth section of the 3.5" downpipe. Is this something you guys would be likely to produce in the future? If I were to have a setup like I've described custom fabbed would this mess with the O2 sensor on the bell mouth?
We are not looking to redesign the manifold at this time.
I am considering buying it with the stock flange, however, if i want to upgrade later, can i buy the other flanges separate? Thank you.
Pending availability, yes that is an option.
Will this fit with the 44mm gate installed with treadstone piping
It should, but we have not tested that fitment, so can't confirm.
Do these header work on the regular mazda 6 non turbo?
No, the motor is different. We don't currently have a header option for the other Mazda 6 models.
Will the EWG dump tube set up work for under route intercooler piping kits?
We have not tried so we can't say for certain. However, the dump could be easily modified to work with any setup.
It works with my turbo and under route piping set up
Is it unequal length similar to stock, or equal length?
Its close to equal length but was designed to retain slightly unequal length so the "mazdaspeed sound" was not lost.
Will be buying this for a CX-7. Have the exhaust manifold covers been tested with these? I'm in Cali and need to hide the manifold as much as possible from the smog cops.
We have not tested on the CX-7. Although there's not a reason we can think of that it wouldn't fit.
I called today to ask about the manifold and the person on the phone said it will throw a CEL for egr but nowhere on the website or in the instructions does it say it will throw a CEL code. Before I order I just want to make sure. I know its not CARB legal, even though it should because it maintains all factory locations, but I just want to make sure no CEL. Thank you!
Since its a race manifold, it was designed with the intent to not use the EGR. We will look into adding an extra disclaimer for the EGR code on the site. If you look at the flange compared to the OEM one you can see that it blocks off the passageway for the EGR. You can have the code removed on your tuning device, but that won't run your monitor. Depending on how your local rules are this may mean you wo't pass emissions.
Screw it, I’m still ordering it. I’m like Ricky Bobby in the CX-7. I just wanna go fast.
From the graph, it looks like there was a six percent gain. I have a CS-FMIC, CS-TIPSRI, CST4, can a tune. Would I be looking at about the same percentage gain?
Gains will always vary based off how much power you make. The more power you make, the higher of an increase there will be.
Does this come with a wastegate block off? Just incase we're running an internally wastegated turbo?
It does not. You can get that separate though. If you need help tracking something down, we can help you. Just contact us.
If i chose stock flange when i ordered what are my options for acquiring the other flange adapters? can i purchase them separately?
