I like this BPV it's not super loud if that's what you are looking for but it has a unique sound that I like. It's built well and looks good. If you live in California just keep your old BPV to switch it back for smog testing (they won't run it with the aftermarket one due to no C.A.R.B. number).

For this BPV I will say I give it a thumbs up. It sounds better and feels better than stock. It was easy to install. If you live in California keep your OEM BPV for smog (they will make you change it or pay them extra). It does have an annoying whistle when light on the pedal (it's like Ricky Bobby it just wants to go fast!).

What can I say, this and it's simplest form works well. It really just comes down to how you want your off throttle noise to sound. With this and it's normal configuration, you get a little bit of whistle with low boost off throttle, hi boost you get a nice pstSSHH. I personally configured mine with a freeze plug in the bpv portion (no recirc) so under low boost you get a nice choo choo and the same pstSSHH under high boost off throttle.

Fast shipping. Lets out a nice whoosh sound. No squeals or whistle noises. Silent under no/very low boost. Initially installed without replacing the stock hose which was a mistake. Had a lot of turbo flutter (bad) for all boost levels as the valve would not VTA. After replacing with the provided hose (which has a smaller diameter than stock) VTA works perfectly. When taking taking the stock hose off on the engine side you have to pull straight up. I was not sure initially which way it was oriented due to it being buried out of good view. Recommending to reach underneath and loosen slightly before pulling from the top and working it off.

I'm not sure why the sound is getting negative reviews because it sounds great. Very easy install and paired with the CS Stage II SRI+TIP it performs great.

It works like a good bpv should, however the squeal it has is similar to a slight brake pad going shitty. You'll hear it when your driving around town and cruising on the highway. If you like the sound of squeaky brake pads to happen all the time, then this valve is the one for you!

Did not like this BPV. It whistles like a cheap plastic whistle ALL the time. Sounds like brake squeal under vacuum and cruising speeds. Everyone who rode in my car would ask what the sound was. I have used many different valves on my cars over the years and have never had one annoy me before. It seemed to work fine but honestly no better than their MZR bypass valve which I re-installed and am pleased with. MZR bypass valve is the best I've ever used so I'll stick with that.

Before I bought this, I didn't know what a BOV was. Now, I think the thing is the coolest thing on my MS3! I never heard anything but what I thought was the turbo spooling up when I put the Stage II CAI on my Speed. When the BOV was installed, that cool sound went away and instead I heard this whistling sound every time I shift. I noticed a drop in my average mileage, but now think it was from accelerating faster and more often. So, now I need to figure out how to include this valve in my increasingly modded MS3. Tomorrow I get the oil catch can, which might reduce my soot(?) and my question is "when do I stop modding?" I guess the answer is "not yet".
