The CorkSport Dual VTA BPV provides features and performance to suit stock cars and on up to big turbo high-power setups. The CorkSport Dual VTA BPV holds 50psi, responds in 50 milliseconds, and wonā€™t stall your car coming to a stop at idle. All this comes in a compact design with nozzle adjustability to allow for easy installation in even the most cramped engine bay or with custom piping. #ZoomZoom!

The CorkSport Advantage

Mazdaspeed 3 bypass valve

Responsive Performance

The CorkSport Dual VTA BPV responds as low as 50 milli-seconds keeping pressure in check and the turbo spinning freely. This is made possible with a few key features:

  • The piston weighs a mere 38 grams with the O-rings installed which reduces the required force (and therefore time) to accelerate and move the piston.
  • The piston and body design work together to minimize the chamber volume at the top of the piston. With the smaller volume, there is less air to be removed before a full vacuum is present, reducing the amount of time needed to start moving the piston upward.

No Leaks

O-rings are used for all critical sealing interfaces to provide a valve that can stand up to the pressure and has been tested to 50psi.

Dual VTA-Bypass Design

The VTA design of the CorkSport Dual VTA BPV allows the valve to function as a normal full recirculation design for most daily driving situations; essentially during minimal boost pressures and light throttle lift-offs.

The VTA ports will then be utilized for medium to high boost and abrupt throttle lift-offs. The higher boost levels cause a larger pressure differential between the intake manifold and charge pipe during throttle close, resulting in the BPV piston moving further, opening the VTA ports.

Flexible Design

Standing just 2.5” tall, the CorkSport Dual VTA BPV is compact which is great for compact engine bay and custom intercooler piping. The VTA BPV also features an integrated hose port to reduce the chance of leaks and lost parts.

The nozzle features 3-way adjustability allowing the nozzle to point 15 or 30 degrees off-center.

Additional Features

  • Materials & Manufacturing: All designed components are CNC machined from 6061-T6 and anodized for long-lasting durability then bolted together 18-8 stainless steel hardware.

My car is a 2010, CS stage II intake, aftermarket BPV, CS catless turboback single resonator on the midpipe, CS internals, Cobb OTS stage II 93 octane, 18.5 PSI. And for such a basic setup I wasn't expecting much from the swap of my previous valve to this one but I was shocked at the effect on the performance of the car. The 2.3 is running much more reliably in boost and fuel trims surprisingly. where my old logs showed boost waning off from 18.5 to 16.5, currently everything pegs right at the tuned presets +/- .5 psi. At VTA events, the pressure is discharged and built back up so fast that the effects on the fuel enrichment were kept within milliseconds on logs. I did notice the slightly more rich conditions in AFR upon WOT up shift, and gargling on heel toe downs. The granite solid performance was only rivaled by the acoustics of the valve. A sound for every occasion. Under part throttle and bobs between traffic felt crisp due to the quick response, accompanied by the high pitched "phhhSSHH" upon valve closing. Part throttle is just a louder version of the low boost daily scenario, with more dramatic emphasis it seamed. Where I felt this valve shined was, of course, WOT and high load. The response time and speed at which +air is discharged only seemed to make everything more responsive between revs. design wise it is compact and efficient. A very aesthetic curved design, and asymmetric etched logo are a big + as far as overall quality and looks, as well as stainless steel machine screws. The easiest thing about this whole experiment was the install, hoses off, new hose on. torque two bolts down and grin the whole time you brap around the neighborhood. 10/10 I'd do it again.

So is the vta adjustable? Is this the same thing as a bov?

I need to replace one of the internal o-rings inside my bypass valve. (one is broken and the others are also old and hard). What are the diameter and thicknesses of the two types of internal o-rings? Thanks!

Hey! I noticed on the description it says car wont die after idling after i install this..(Im going to purchase this either way) but as a new manual driver that would be a huge benefit if thats true? Does that mean if i come to a full stop with foot off the clutch in gear the car will idle instead of stalling? Thanks!

I guess I'm unclear as to what the value is, of this item. I don't drag race. Unless it improves torque, I don't know why I should purchase it.

is this a 50/50, bov, or bpv?

Asked by steven | 03/07/2018, 05:05 AM | 0 answer(s)

I am little concerned about the vacuum hose that mounts on top of it, its position makes it difficult to using a clamp there. So, can we use the stock hose with the clamp there or we have to install a hose provided with the BPV.

What the difference between this and the MZR Bypass valve - is it just the ability to switch to VTA? I have the CS Airbox on my car right now, will either option fit?

Asked by Adrian | 12/13/2016, 01:11 PM | 1 answer(s)

Will this need to be tuned to operate properly? Or no matter what mods you have stock or big turbo it will still be plug and play.
