Made from .130 " precision machined aluminum, the CorkSport Mazdaspeed6 Skid Tray will provide maximum protection while adding minimal weight to the body of your vehicle. This one-piece precision bent skid plate is angled for a tight fit and structural rigidity and is CAD designed to mount on the sub frame with extra attachment points so it won’t snag or hang up on objects under your vehicle. Comparable cost replacement to OEM parts.

I have a spin on oil filter conversion. Is the filter access hole large enough to allow hand removal without removing the plate?

I have been wanting this skid plate for a while since my old one was damaged. I just received and installed this part and was not expecting such a high quality piece. It is very sturdy and fitment was perfect. The rubber isolation hardware should help keep things quiet as well. Wish I haven't waited so long to get this plate. Highly recommended.

This thing is brilliant. It's not cheap, but my justification was it reduces the PITA factor involved with oil changes enough for me to start doing my own again. Yeah... it has a hole for the drain plug and an access panel for the oil filter. :-)

I hope there are some still some MS6 owners out there who buy this thing to help support CorkSport's dedication to the MS6 platform.

Installation note: Obviously, this thing won't fold and crumple like the plastic, OEM one if it comes loose. Just make sure you've tightened everything down and don't skip any fasteners.
