BE CAREFUL WHEN TORQUING DOWN.
The piece itself is well crafted and fits nearly exactly as the stock one does. It’s leagues better than the OEM without a doubt, but my problems with it are two-fold.
1. The instructions state to torque the 4 small bolts (that connect the TMIC to BPV elbow) to 15ft-lbs. My first TMIC got ruined as I set the torque wrench to 15ft-lbs and immediately stripped the heli-coil out of it, had to return it. Concerned I grabbed the electronic torque wrench to reinstall my old TMIC while waiting on CS to send a replacement, and even the OEM nearly stripped out before I hit 10ft-lbs. This time I used a 1/4” torque wrench set to 10ft-lbs and it still nearly stripped out. I don’t know what the actual torque spec is for this piece and I don’t think CS does either, so go slow and get it tight with a short handle 1/4” drive ratchet.
2. Speed6 OEM shroud did not fit. They look a little different than a Speed3 shroud, but you will need to source longer M6x1.0 bolts and washers as well as spacers for between the shroud and intercooler.
