The CorkSport Mazdaspeed Performance Camshafts are developed with the latest design, manufacturing, and casting technologies and ground to CNC precision for the best performance for your Mazdaspeed. Near factory idling cams for the daily driver and even the aggressive track driver bringing improvement in throttle response and torque to your Mazdaspeed. #ZoomZoom!
Check out the installation instructions below. Share your performance review with the CorkSport community once installed!
The CorkSport Mazdaspeed camshafts were tested on a fully bolted and CorkSport Turbo equipped 2013 MS3. The performance camshafts provided a respectable TQ/wHP gain across the entire RPM with a peak gain of 22.5whp. This is power you will feel across the whole RPM band, not just a top end improvement in power.
Retaining factory idle quality while maximizing horsepower and torque, no worries of a rough loping idle, felt from other camshafts. This gives you an advantage in power without giving away the upgrade on those trips to Mexico.
Designed to replace the OEM Mazdaspeed camshafts for the 2007 - 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 and the 2006 - 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 models.
CorkSport Mazdaspeed camshafts are manufactured from new castings, hardened and machined to exact tolerances. No cores, exchanges, or long waits for regrinds required.
Clear and concise installation instructions included along with an interactive tappet guide excel sheet available for download.
Camshaft installation is a highly demanding process requiring experience and high attention to detail. CorkSport highly recommends professional installation.
It will take you 5-8 hours to install the CorkSport Mazdaspeed Performance Camshafts with our easy-to-use instructions.

I know a tune is highly recommended, but will these cams work on the stock tune without throwing any CEL's if needed for a day or so every two years?
Technically speaking, using this for a day would not throw a CEL; however, you would put in a lot of effort to use it for just a day or so???? every two years ????! Ideally, a tune would be done to best utilize the upgraded cams. If you have a stock tune, it probably means you haven't modded your Speed. In our estimation, the camshafts are a mod you would want to do later in your build, as there are many more important mods like HPFP Internals or a VVT rebuild.
I have an ms3 bolt ons with 420HP at the wheels. With versa tuner. I want to change my OEM cams for corksport cams. IF I change the cams, do I need to tune again? Or can I just replace them and that's it? What are your recommendations? Would I have problems if I only change the OEM cams for Corskport and do not tune?
You will need a tune after installation.
What is the max HP and torque these can handle?
The shop halfmilespeed3 build ran these cams at over 600hp with no problem.
Will these work with the 2.5l (L5-ve) DISI head builds?
The cams have not been tested in that application.
With a k04, how much of a HP/TQ gain can these provide? I plan on doing these with the cs exhaust manifold.
Some people have seen up to 340hp with these cams and the appropriate supporting mods.
Will these work with a 2010 cx7? It has the 2.3 mzr disi.
They will work. Just make sure you have the proper tuning in order to allow you to use them.
What's Up!? I'm running a 2011 MS3, fully stock with 149K on the odometer. I have these cams in my cart along with $4K worth of other mods. I someone asked about putting these in a 60K engine, would this be safe for mine at 149K?
Some engines can still be healthy at that mileage. Just plan to have a rebuild in your back pocket. I recommend that you do a compression leak down test to see how the motor is doing.
How do these cams compare to the Kelford B cams? CS ones seen to have a little less lift and duration. Are these more of a street mod?
These are more street and sub 700 Whp builds. They help more in the mid-range than the top end.
Can I put these on my 2.3 2006 3s hatchback?
Unfortunately no, the Cams are specific to the DISI motor in the mazdaspeeds. Due to the High-pressure fuel system.
I'm a bit confused with the results of the dyno graph, the ms3 2013 which they used to test cams it states that it was fully bolted, was the car tuned? why are those numbers low? because i have seen cars fully bolted with these cams hitting 350hp and maybe a little more(no meth). Can you clarify?
The dyno used for the graph is a Dyno Dynamics model which will read lower. What you are looking for is the before and after difference.
I know that it is not required to change oem valve springs but its recommended due to possible valve floating so that being said, what supertech valve springs you recommend me?
SPRK-FE20BE is the part number you want.
Is this the part number you recommend? https://www.supertechperformance.com/p108187-spr-fe20be-beehive-valve-spring 67lbs. press seat. The reason why im asking is because i was told by phone that the engine engineer builder recommended single spring but this link is fora double spring and its the only spring on there line that you can use factory oem seat and retainer. Also this spring is kore than enough to keep valve from floating right? Let me know and confirm.
That part number is a beehive double spring with press seat 67lbs, being able to use oem retainer + seat. Is this press seat lbs. enough or lbs. should be higher? The reason of me asking is because i was told over the phone that the engineer recommended to use a single spring and now i'm confused. Which is the actual one you guys use on your builds?SPR-FE20BE rated at 67 lbs. press seat or SPR-TS/DUR-DS rated at 55 lbs. press seat? The only problem with the last part number is that you cannot use oem retainer+seat. Please let me know and thanks for the support!

Can this be use in a Mazda 3 2.5L auto transmission (non skyactiv)
No these will not fit.
Do piston to valve clearances need to be check ? Many thanks
These camshafts are designed to work with stock pistons so no you not.
Can these cams fit in a 2006 Mazda 6 V6 by any means?
No, the V6 is a completely different engine.
Do these cams need any other part for installation? Or just bolt on my engine? Did you available in stock?
Ok. So, its just install them without any other modification or part needed? Also, I want to know if I can use the VTC delete kit on them?
As of this posting the camshafts are in stock. You can install these camshafts as they arrive. Check the installation instructions out for some additional OEM parts you will need during the installation procedure.
The VTC wont affect the installation since it is in the intake manifold and these camshafts work fine without it. You can install the camshafts in a completely stock engine.
What were the average numbers in lifter(valve clearance ) adjustment when going from oem cams to corksport cams? Do these cams make the car sound with a louder and deeper tone?
We have found each engine is different on the valve clearance. There is a little bit of a difference in idle but the engine note is pretty close to stock.
Do these cams improve torque numbers from low 3K rpms to high rpms? Do they increase exhaust or engine sound?(asking because i was reading that some aftermarket cams tend to make exhaust tone different and louder. Do you guys ship cams with installation instructions?
Check out our blog on the camshafts. https://corksport.com/blog/new-product-mazdaspeed-camshafts-for-disi-mzr-motor/
Has these cams been installed on fully bolted stock turbo mazdaspeed3 Gen2 and if so what were the HP and TQ gains?
Our beta testers have seen up to 340 whp with the cams and appropriate supporting mods. I believe they were running methanol as well.
Does CS offer any base OTS maps for cams, just to get us going?
No we do not. You should be fine to drive the car with them freshly on. But getting a pro tune done ASAP is recommended
Do you need to upgrade the valve springs with this camshaft? What stage is this camshaft?
No you do not need to upgrade any other section of the Valve Train
Was wondering i have 60,460 mile's on my MS3, would that be to high of mile's to replace cams if not what would be the point of mileage that i should not replace the cams with the Cork sports
No, you should still be able to enjoy them. Eventually it will be a good idea to replace the VVT and that would be the ideal time to do our cams. The cams overall help with efficiency, meaning that you can make more power while stressing the motor less.
Does the cam have to be tunned upon installing?
It doesn't have to be. However you'll get more gains from any mod with a tune
Can this product be used for non turbo 2.0L 2012 engine.
No it cannot. Must be a DISI motor
