CorkSport short ram intake is equipped with a precision-crafted billet MAF housing. This ensures that the intake's diameter precisely matches the OEM's specifications, allowing for uninterrupted airflow and precise sensor measurements.

Dryflow Filter:

The CorkSport SRI air filters are designed for long-lasting performance. The filters use a cone shape to provide a consistent airflow. A non-woven media capture dirt and debris and is designed to shred from the vibrations of the engine. The reusable filter is washable allowing you to clean the filter without the need for oil. Combine with the CorkSport Air Filter Sock.

Fitment:

**How to find your build date of your 2013-2025 Mazda CX-5. Open the drivers door and locate the vehicle identification sticker. It will look like the picture below. There will be a location which says date shown with the red arrow. That is what you need to find your build date. As you can see on the example below the Mazda was built in November 2012.


Product Advisory Note
  • No tuning required.
  • Does not work with engines equipped with the EGR Cooler located on top of the intake manifold.
  • Not confirmed to work with 2.0L engine. Use at your own risk.
  • Some early 2019 Mazda CX-5 production models may experience a CEL (Check Engine Light) with the use of the Short Ram Intake. If you have an early 2019 model you may need to get an update PCM ECU flash from your dealership to prevent this CEL.
  • Solution: With OEM components installed, schedule an appointment with your local dealership. Request the updated PCM ECU flash for TSB #: 01-015/19.
  • There will be some minor added engine induction noise as a result of installing this intake.

I got my order a little late as I paid for because there was a confusion about a delivery address; however, I put it 20-30 minutes ago and so far no engine light. I had my custom one which I had for 8-9 months and a week ago something happened and my car ran bad and there were two problems: Maf and car ran rich. Yes, I had a bad maf mount where my maf sensor wasn't in right place.



Anyway, this product came in without any damages and works fine. Thanks.

Awesome kit. Sounds amazing. HOWEVER, the CAI Box is a must!



After installing this I noticed a substantial decrease in low end power at low revs and at low speed, but an increase in high end power at higher revs and speed.



I could no longer break traction in first gear with TSC off, whereas with the stock box I could.



The exposed pod was installed and run in cold weather of less than 15C and I know heat-soak could not be the cause for the weird power loss when the entire system was freezing cold after driving. I think excessive air intake caused the computer to adjust negatively to this.





After the CAI Box was installed, the problem is now relieved. I immediately noticed much better power and responsiveness in the low rpm ranges. I can now smoke the tires all the way through first gear.

Zoom Zoom. Installed this on my 2015 Mazda6 i Sport 2.5L in ~15min. Noticed she was a bit peppier and the exhaust tones are noticeably better, but not over done. Well worth the price!

An absolutely flawless product that is incredibly simple to install!

Intake sounds great when you get on it & full wail is amazing!



Throttle response is now immediate compared to the stock setup.

Fits 2016's no problem!

I am comparing the stock intake to the CorkSport intake...

Short Ram Air Intake: Very quiet.

When stepping on the gas, I hear a nice growl sound that is not annoying, but good to the ears.

As for power gain, I can definitely feel the additional torque; it's not a crazy improvement, but definitely worth the money.

If you need to start somewhere with a mod to increase performance, check this little baby out.

Awesome part. Wakes the car right up. Better exhaust note throughout the RPM range, slight improvement in power, and less restriction. Couldnt ask for a better intake for the Skyactiv
