If you want a notchy short throw do this plate plus the tougher bushings and a weighted shift knob. Best bang for your buck by far and have zero complaints with my shifter assembly. Feels almost clunky in a good way. Never slip gears and faster shift times are always good.

The short throw shift plate was the best transmission mod of my life! It doesn't take me a year to shift into gear anymore. I did the full 32% or 40% on the shift plate and isn't difficult to shift into gear at all. Pretty good mod to start out with! Install could be done by 5 month old babies. Corksport you never disappoint!

Forget remapping and intakes buy this first as it the best improvement to my car so far. Easy to fit and makes everything feel tighter and lighter. Very happy.

Install was easy. If you're running a short ram, removing it will give you better access. I set mine just right of center. Throws are ALOT shorter. 2nd to 3rd at 6k puts you right into full boost in 4th. I used the provided weight instead of retaining the OEM weight. Might swap back though. The lighter shifts just don't feel like they are landing like the heavier ones did. Going to run it for a few weeks and see if it feels more natural.



All in all, quality product. Does exactly as it says.

Does exactly what it says it would do. Love the short shifts. Shift are more crisp. Easy install.I highly recommend this if you want to reduce your shift throws.

Took me about 30min to install, hardest part was removing the linkage off the ball joint. Other than that! a Great Product! I have it just below the full 40% decrease which is perfect for me! Combine with the shifter bushings, and the feel is 100% better! Thanks again Corksport!

I installed this while at work still on the clock and no one noticed I even left. Very simple install thanks to the directions that came with it (even easier if you already have a SRI). Reduced my shifts to the lowest % (40% decrease I believe). First couple miles of driving took a little getting used to but after that throws feel great! Awesome product highly recommend.

This is an amazing mod!! It feels great when shifting with the corksport weight. The shifts are much more shorter and quicker. I recommend this to anyone who has a mazdaspeed.

Installed it, tried every setting (20% to 40% reduction), missed 3rd gear constantly on just 20%. Tried returning it, would only compensate for either shipping or the 20% restocking fee, neither were a guarantee that i was going to get a full refund. Poor product for the Gen1, not sure if they ever even tested it for us, just the Gen2's.

Just installed this today in the driveway, instructions were clear and helpful I would only suggest this change, use a 10mm to pop the cable off the ball, and it comes off much easier.



The difference to shifting has been enormous, 2nd and 3rd are sooo crisp and flawless!!

I just installed this In my 09 MS3, I love it! It feels so much shorter than stock! I couldn't tell which Side was shorter tho, I had placed it where I thought I'd like it and I think it's great, but I'm wondering if putting it towards the right is shorter or to the left. Anyways I love it, took 10 mins to put in and instant results :) thanks CS for amazing products!

For such a small piece of hardware, the difference it makes on the gear changing is fantastic! Sitting on about 35% reduced throw, I can shift quicker and smoother, especially between 2nd and 3rd. Very solid shifts with the OEM weight still on, but a heavier shift knob will probably make it even smoother!

Easy to install seeing as I had the intake and battery already out. I went with 20% and Corksports weight I can tell the difference and the shifting is so much crisper.

this took about 1 hour or less to install and that's with my car having the stock airbox but the feel and distance of throw my god it's like actually having a short throw shifter it's awesome for the MS3 I say it's a must have.

Install took me about 20-25 minutes. I have Corksport Stage II Intake and did not remove it during install so working around it made it a little tricky but it is still able to be done (incase anyone was curious about accessibility). I set it to about 30-35% and wow!!!! it feels awesome. I used the Corksport counter weight as well and it feels so crisp and quick! So much better!

Installed this product about a week ago and really enjoy the shorter throws I'm currently using the cs shift weight and it is a lot lighter haven't tried the stock yet but the shorter throws are all I wanted. Now all I need is my shift knob I pre ordered and my wife won't have to worry about me buying parts. For at least two weeks.

Love it. Set it to 40% in my 2013 MS3. I kept the stock weight on and like the heavy feel of it. This is the only way to go. FYI: the throw reduction is toward the pull portion of the shift. you will be about in the center of the stock shift pattern when in 3/4/6.

I installed this and what a difference. At first, I installed the plate with the lighter shift weight and had some trouble getting into 1st and especially 2nd gear. After adjusting the shifter a little I was able to have freedom of movement in 1st and 2nd. The light wieght shift weight was way too light for me. It felt like I had to force the shifter into gear. I ended up swapping back to the OEM weight and now it is heavenly. Paired with the shifter bushings it makes a night and day difference. I only rated 3 stars only because I was charged for a shift weight that I am not even using and I didn't even like it. The shift weight should be made an option.

If you own a Mazdaspeed 3 do yourself a favor and order this part for the vehicle. Super easy install. You'd be dumb not to have this installed as i think nobody wants the long throws the car has stock. Awesome short shift plate corksport you guys don't disappoint. 5 Stars!

This is big improvement. takes a little time to get use to, b/c the shifts so short, not sure if in gear, but improves shifting time and effort.

Freakin sweet!! Install was to easy to be true, and the lighter weight was a perfect match for my driving style. My shifts feel quick and smooth as they should, but without the "heavy" feeling to it. a must have upgrade for those sporty drivers! Thanks CS!

Great price! Quick to install. I have it set as far as I can with out the cables rubbing. The short shift plate paired with the shifter bushings makes the shifting in my 2010 mazdaspeed 3 feel better than new. I would recommend this to any one that wants cash cheep way to get a better shift.

Wow, what a difference. I was ready to put in some Redline MTF due to sloppy stock shifting . Got it set at approx 30% reduction with the upgrade (lighter) conterweight. Simple design and you don't have to remove the stock plate (this one goes over it). Great bang for the buck and makes shifting much more enjoyable.

Alright while I gave this product an excellent rating the first time even though it did not work at the full 40 percent. Well this time around I used the weight that came with it and adjusted the shifter linkage back a bit under the center console. Bam! Running the full reduction. A truely awesome product!

Quick and easy install on my 2012 ms3! Still trying to find a good spot for it. Slightly below the full 40% and have some issues down shifting from third to second but like they say, not all cars will work all the way. Other than that its awesome!

Put this on at the same time as my CAI since everything was already open and exposed. Running at 40% on my Gen2 Speed3 and I love it. No more missed shifts from second to third, everything is right where I feel like it should be. Thanks CorkSport, job well done.

Great piece. Easy install. Have it set somewhere around 30% due to issues with cables rubbing at 40% on 07'MS3. But Corksport instruction clearly state not all vehicles run the same so fitment issue may occur depending on modifications. so Yes great piece and throw difference is noticeable and crisp.

Flat out amazing difference! I already had the bushing kit installed and while that made a very positive change, this kit makes the tranny feel like it should. Perfect snick-snick feel every enthusiast wants.



Install was insanely easy, even with removing the factory air box. Another winner from Corksport!

I hate to even post this cause most all of Corksports products are great, but my experience with this short shift plate was disappointing. After I installed it, I sat in the car and started working the gears..mine was as notchy as can be..I moved the pin to see if it would smooth out some..not much difference at all. I didn't bother with trying to drive the car, I just went ahead and removed it. :(

First few times shifting I thought something was wrong. I would never believe how short the shifts are with this without experiencing this. Out right awesome. Easy to install and have never had it pop out of gear on me. Definitely worth the money.

Wouldn't have believed it if someone told me this would make such a difference! Took less than 10 minutes to install and at 40% it makes the trans feel brand new and like it never has. Shifts are tight and quick. Highly recommend this. 126k on the trans and it feels new again! No more crunch into second gear now.

Amazing product for an amazing price! Managed to install this Christmas morning on my 2012 speed, before leaving for the family gatherings! Took 10 minutes (having the CS SRI helps tremendously!)maxed out at 40% reduction it feels just like it should quick short and seems to "click" as Jose said right into gear! A must have for someone who loves to DRIVE their speed3!

This is an amazing mod for less than $100. It takes minimal time, most of it is spent getting the airbox out of the way. Running the full 40% reduction on my 2010 MS3 and it is amazing. Coupled with the CS Shifter Bushings, my shifts are fast and accurate. Amazing products.

I installed this about a week ago. 1st, 3rd, and 5th seem very short... But 2nd 4th and 6th still feel the same... I set it just barely over from full left. Using the OEM counter weight. Any suggestions/advice on how to make all the shifts feel the same? Or is it supposed to be this way?
