The 2.5-liter turbocharged version also provides you with a car that is as enjoyable to drive as it is beautiful. We believe that a car that looks good should sound good as well. Our mandrel-bent, 80mm polished stainless steel axle-back exhaust system will ensure you are seen AND heard. The dual 160mm resonators deliver a throatier exhaust note without drone or excessive noise.

Performance Sound:

The CorkSport 80mm axle back exhaust delivers some much needed volume to the exhaust note of the SkyActiv 2.5T. By replacing the large OEM muffler section with high flow, pass through resonators, you get a performance sound that is quiet under normal driving but wakes up when you get on the throttle. Best of all, the CS axle back is less restrictive than the OEM exhaust, helping your engine breath better. Check out the product video for sound clips!

Stylish Look:

The GEN 2 CX-5 looks great but is let down by the tiny OEM exhaust tips. The CS axle back exhaust uses enlarged 100mm, dual wall exhaust tips to really fill out the bumper cutouts and give you an upgraded, yet subtle look. The tips were also brought outward slightly, to further the visual benefit of the CorkSport axle back. It truly looks like the way it should’ve come from Mazda, but we didn’t, stop there. Finishing off the look are laser engraved CorkSport name badges for a classy aesthetic detail.

Materials & Manufacturing:

As with every CorkSport exhaust, the CX-5 axle back uses fully polished, mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel. These aspects ensure that your exhaust flows well, looks great, and will stand the test of time. Each joint is precision TIG welded, while the inlet flange is laser cut for optimum fitment. We also provide all the hardware and gaskets you need for install, along with full color instructions to ensure waking up your CX-5 is as easy as possible!

I got this for my 2018 Mazda CX-5 Touring wasn’t sure the outcome for the non turbo model. But let me just say very well worth the money best sounding exhaust I’ve ever had

Changes the characteristics of the car completely. From a quiet, sedate SUV to a fun SUV. Cold start is full of force, Vroom. Once you are at speed, the sound mellows out to just a slight low pitch hum that is not at all annoying or interfere with the music your enjoying. Down shifts give a nice little rumble pop. When mixed with the SRI the engine is smooth and responsive.

It took me a week to learn the characteristics of the exhaust. My installer loves it. It was easy for him to install. The ends look great. I feel sorry for the other CX-5's on the road without this exhaust. They look like they are missing something.

Love the way it changes the characteristics of the car, from casual to zoom zoom. Cold start excitement settles down to a low growl that is not overbearing inside the cab. Looks great, sound great.

There isn't a ton of great videos out there to showcase this exhaust, but rest assured it's an incredibly deep, low rumble at low RPM's. A very "mature" sounding exhaust, not raspy or too loud. Took me a total of 20 minutes to install, 100% would recommend to every CX-5 owner who wants a noticeably louder exhaust but not overdo it.

Not sure how this is only designed for the 17+ is a year from the 16 that much of a difference? Makes no sense. Glad I'm doing my own custom exhaust setup.

Just installed this a few hours ago. Easy, I used a cardboard box to keep CS exhaust up off graound and in location. Also car on 2.5" tall ramps. Took like 20min to install. I'm a tig welder so I can appreciate the nice lookn welds. Just be careful not to scratch CS exhaust, use some cardboard under car or something soft and leave on that bubble wrap until it's installed.

Just installed mine on 24 CX-5 Turbo Premium. What a difference this has made over factory exhaust. It breaths so much better. I find the turbo spools faster and IMO there is a noticeable performance gain. Great system took 1 hr to install from the moment it was delivered to when I was finished. Took longer to unbox than to install. Packaged so well in order not to get scratched. My local exhaust shop even told me to go with this system over their custom system because they couldn’t come close to that price. I’m so happy I waited for it to come back into stock. Ty.

I just bought this item used, for my new to me 2022 CX-5 Turbo.

It's extremely deep. Not very loud. Engine is louder than the exhaust at high RPM's. Atleast in the cab. my custom intake is a lot more noticeable than the exhaust is....

except for cold starts.

HOLY JEEZ! cold starts are something else! it's like 2 12" subwoofers playing at max volume lol! revving it higher than the cold start is actually quieter somehow.

If you park with your exhausts pointing towards a solid object, you will be yelling for the first 10 seconds of your cold start since the bass in the cab of the car will be loud :D
