Is the racepipe part of this cat back or would I have to purchase a separate racepipe as well?
The racepipe is not included in the catback
i have a CP-E downpipe will this exhaust fit wioth aftermarket downpipes?
If the downpipe is compatible with the OEM exhaust it should work, but we can't guarantee it.
How loud in Db is the resonated cat back?
We don't have a dB reading at this time, sorry.
It seem like the mid pipe is resonated, and only one side of the axle back portion is resonated, is that true or I just don't see how the three pieces go together?
That is correct. We will have to trust the engineers knew what they were doing on that one :)
Will this fit with my stock down pipe or do I need to do the down pipe and catback at the same time ?
This will bolt up to the factory down pipe, so you are in luck!
Will this work with the oem stock down pipe ?
Yes, it hooks up after that portion of the exhaust.
I purchased the catback exhaust system non resonated. Is possible to purchase just the resonated portion? After driving around non resonated, I think I would like to just have it resonated, thank you.
Hey there! We don't sell that piece separate as it will break up the kit. But you can definitely get a 3" or 80mm resonator online from vibrant or Magnaflow and simply have it welded in by an exhaust shop.
Will this fit a '10 Mazda 3 2.5L? Just from the pictures between the 2, the CBE looks identical. I have the option to pick one up from a friend and would think the CBE is the same for both, I only know the ABE has been tested.
We haven't confirmed the fitment. The catback on the speeds may start in a different place so you'd have to risk it. However, with it being such large piping on a NA car it will be very loud with no turbo. I recommend our Mazda 3 exhaust system.
I purchased the full Resonated Cat back Exhaust and I was wondering if it would be possible to sell just the Right side from the the back section (Non-resonated). If so how much would it be? Thank you
Unfortunately, we are not able to break up different axle-back sections as we build them in batches.
how db do both resonated and non resonated produce?
I have this exhaust can i run a cp-e QKSpl Downpipe CATLESS with this exhaust.
If their downpipe bolts in the stock location they it should work fine.
How many dB make the resonated version ?
Which version resonated or non?
How much louder is the exhaust with the resonator deleted? I want a deep crisp sound and with the resonator sounded great. so with it being gone does it make it significanly louder as to bother others? or does it just have a more aggressive sound to it?
The sound is louder, and has more highway drone. It tends to be a little more single toned compared to the alternating frequency of a resonated section.
Do you have any videos of the Non resonated exhaust? For a 10-13 speed?
I would check out youtube for videos. We do not have an official video.
Hi is the non resonated version of this just a straight pipe from the cat is the mid section still resonated and just the rear axle section non resonated
How many dB is a resonated cat back system? I need to be under a certain limit for autocross!
Hello, I already have a Corksport Down Pipe on my 2012 Mazda Speed 3! my question is, to complete my Cork Sport exhaust system all iI need to purchase is the Cat Back Exhaust correct? Thanks!
If I already have the car back exhaust Can I do a 80mm downpipe or no?
Yes you can. The catback is also 80mm
Will it pass state inspection I live in ri and it’s my daily driver. I can take getting my balls busted but jw if I’ll have to swap out my exhaust every time I need an inspection?
It does not delete any cats or emissions devices so it should not interfere with that. If there are rules about loud exhausts in your state, you will want to check and see before ordering.
I have a Curt class 1 hatch for towing my sport bike. Will it interfere with the axle back exhaust hangers?
It should not interfere with anything. Our exhaust system actually takes up less space in the rear.
Actually i have the Curt Hitch and it rubs up against the pipes just before the the tips, it will vibrate the frame of the car and is really annoying, i took off my hitch and only put it on to trailer when i need to.
I Purchased the Axle Back Section a few years back and it was non-resonated/non-muffled at the time, i currently still have only the OEM Mid-pipe with the resonator in there. I have a suggestion for you guys at corksport, if you welded in a wireless controlled butterfly Valve to the driver side exhaust outlet then this can be marketed as a Valved exhaust system and would also be a great addition to your current lineup adding more robust exhaust system choices. Please let me know if this interests you!
Will this pass California smog?
Only thing you need to worry about in CA is removing the cats. The cat back does not affect these.
I currently have a racepipe and a resonator delete on my MS3, with my resonator delete does it matter if I get resonated or non resonated? If I get the resonated version can I just take the pipe off and connect it straight to the racepipe with the resonator if I really wanted to?
Fitment will be the same regardless of having the resonated or non resonated. One is just louder than the other.
Will i need an AP for running non-resonated and i have no other mods at all will this still bolt up to all factory?
A catback can be put on without an issues. No tuning required. A downpipe however is a different story. Feel free to call us if you have any questions!
Do I have to buy an upgraded flange for the new catback exhaust (non Resonated) or does that come with the whole package?
Comes with the whole package.
What is more popular, the non resonated CBE or the resonated?
Just depends on how loud you want your speed.
Does this exhaust directly bolt on without doing any modifications to it?
Yes it does!
Yes it does!
Yes it does!
Will this work with the cp-e downpipe? also what is the piping and outlet size? 3"? thanks
Will the CBE version bolt up directly to the stock downpipe/cat? I have a 2010 MS3, no other exhaust mods.
Yes it will!
Will this cbe work with my cobb do?
Yes it will!
I have a Cobb DP will this cat-back fit
Yes it will!
I live in California. Are there CA. Legal papers included with this exhaust? And will there be an issue with smog? I believe this question was asked but is there any updated information? Thanks.
The exhaust does not have a CARB#. We are not currently investigating it.
Will getting the mid section only make any difference and will it fit the oem exhaust?
The mid-section is not designed for the OEM exhaust, it would be larger piping than the racepipe or the axleback of the stock exhaust and thus you would have difficulty preventing leaks at the flanges. It would give you a little better flow but it would be a minimal amount.
There is a large price difference between midsection resonated and full resonated. What are the differences? I am running completely catless.I''d Like to avoid highway drone. Curious what I'd Get with partial vs full restonation.
Resonated Cat Back vs Non Resonated Cat Back are the same price. If you select "mid-section only" then we will only send you the mid section and you will not receive the axle-back portion. Selecting "mid-section only" is not a full catback exhaust that has resonators on only the mid-section, it is literally just the mid-section piping. For the least drone you would want a full resonated cat-back. It still will have more drone than stock (since it is louder and has a much deeper and rumbling note) but it is better than the non-resonated version.
My car is currently all stock. Would I have to buy an access port and get a tune if I was to put this exhaust on my car?
You would not.
when you guys say "Mid Section Only" do you mean the mid section is resonated or you guys are selling only the mid-section? lol
It is the pipe between the second catalyst and the muffters.
does that mean if we select mid section we only get the midsection pipe? Or the midsection is resonated and nothing behind it is?
The mid section is the same for both versions of our exhaust. The resonated version of the exhaust has another one back past the mid section.
Can you give a decibel rating for both the resonated and non-resontated tips... Or atleast a good estimate? Also, would I be able to try one tip and exchange for the other if I'm not happy?
You cannot swap tips if you are not happy, and we have not done a decibel rating.
Will you be coming out with a burnt tip option anytime soon? I'm ready to order mine but really like the burnt tip look. Or is it something an install shop can do for me?
We will not be doing a "burnt tip" option. The MS3 creates so much soot that the color of the tips is quickly turned to black anyway.
With the non resonated exhaust will the car still pass inspection? Or will I have to stock out before going for inspection
It depends on the state, but in most of them it will pass since it does not alter the Catalytic Converter. Resonators are a sound device, not an emissions device.
