We are proud to reintroduce CorkSport Lowering Springs for the Mazdaspeed 6! We slightly revised our existing springs for more consistent ride/handling and a new blue look! Improve the handling and appearance of your MS6 through a ~1.6” drop in the front and ~1.25” drop in the rear. This setup provides a slight rake wheel gap front and rear while retaining great ride quality. The stiffer spring rates work great with OEM dampers or with upgraded aftermarket units. Check out the info below for full details and more pictures!
The CorkSport Mazdaspeed 6 lowering springs are designed to offer better-handling characteristics than OEM. By lowering the vehicle, the center of gravity is lowered, which when combined with stiffer than OEM spring rates, provides less body roll and increased driver confidence so you can better attack your favorite backroad. The rear spring rate is increased more than the front for more neutral handling and reduced understeer. The final spring rate numbers are approximately 5.1K front and 4.1K rear.
CS lowering springs for the MS6 lower your speed by approximately 1.6” front and 1.25” rear. This is a great height that gives you a slight rake wheel gap front and back without being too low for a daily driver. This is approximately the same as our old springs and it will vary slightly depending on your modifications and what shock and strut setup you have. The car in the photos has 18x9.5 +45 Enkei GTC01RR wheels with 255/40 R18 tires. Camber and rolled fenders are required to fit this setup. (3mm spacer in the rear to clear suspension, 10mm spacer in the front to clear CS BBK. Final offset +35 front, +42 rear)
Being developed specifically for the MS6, you can be sure your speed will be riding great after installing the CS springs. We used natural frequency analysis to ensure a sportier ride than OEM that is still comfortable no matter how you use your 6. The CS springs are designed to be paired with OEM shocks and struts or upgraded aftermarket OEM replacements. Both options ride and handle fantastic!
Each CorkSport spring is made from high tensile strength steel to ensure consistent and reliable performance for years to come. They are powder-coated blue for a corrosion-resistant finish and a great look that will last. Each spring is also designed to be a direct OEM fit, with no need for modification and the only special tool being a spring compressor for the front struts!
It will take you 2 hours to install the lowering springs with our step-by-step instructions.
