The 2nd generation of the Mazdaspeed 3 was an evolution of the 1st gen which included engine upgrades, ECU tweaks, a functional hood scoop for better cooling, and updated styling. The stock power output remained the same on paper with 263 wheel horsepower from the direct injected turbocharged DISI engine.
