We took everything we learned from making the Mazdaspeed 3 coilovers and created the CorkSport Coilovers for 2014-2018 Mazda 3 and 2014-2017 Mazda 6! With 2.5 inches of ride height adjustability, optimized spring rates, 15-way damping adjustability, and front camber adjustability, the CS coilovers are ready for whatever you throw at them. Lots of design and testing has gone into making the CorkSport coilovers the best they can be for your GEN3. Check out the full details below! We carefully chose the 7K front 8K rear spring rates to be aggressive enough for the track but not too stiff on the street. This means you can set a great time at the track or autocross, while being comfortable to and from the event. By increasing the rear spring rate more than the front spring rate; the CS coilovers promote more neutral handling with less understeer. Finally, we used natural frequency analysis to ensure our spring rates and damping match well with one another and aren’t harsh on the street.
The front coilover bodies of the CorkSport coilovers are not a typical coilover design. They use an inverted monotube design which is similar to a normal coilover but rotated 180° (inverted). This design offers superior strength and reliability over a regular monotube, so you can be confident your vehicle will react the same when cornering hard. This is further emphasized by the pillow ball top mount, which encourages rigidity and repeatable handling.
Being a performance unit, the CS coilovers are meant to improve handling. It would be a shame though to ignore another huge benefit, the visual boost that comes with lowering a car. For handling’s sake, a lower car means a lower center of gravity, reduced body roll, and better driver confidence but it also looks fantastic. There is about 2” of ride height adjustability with the CorkSport Coilovers so you can really dial in your handling and look. Minimum ride height drop is approximately 0.5” lower than stock
15-way adjustable damping is present on both the front and rear of the CS coilover kit. This allows you to fine tune how your car reacts to bumps, so you can stiffen things up when you get to the track and then add some comfort back for the drive home. Damping adjusters are easy to access and can be done without disassembly or tools, but a jack makes is even easier! There is also camber adjustability in the front, so you fine tune your handling or fitment with up to -1.5° of camber.
The CorkSport Coilover kit is truly a direct replacement for the OEM suspension setup. This means no special tools, and not even spring compressors are required for install. There is also no permanent modification required for installation, however if you adjust camber frequently, you will need to modify your strut towers for accessibility.
Each component in the CorkSport coilover kit is designed to last the test of time. All components either use corrosion resistant materials, or have corrosion resistant coatings. All steel parts are powdercoated while aluminum parts are anodized. This means the parts look good and will last as long as your GEN3 Mazda 3/6.
