Removes a bit of slop from the stock manual shifting experience. when paired with the motor/trans mounts and short shift plate you get the full benefits of a much improved shift feel and overall driving experience. Installation can be a little tricky in such a tight space but it is worth the upgrade if you take their time.

I installed this along with the short shifter plate and together they made a great improvement in overall shifter feel. I can't honestly say that I can feel the difference that these bushings make on their own, but anything is better than floppy rubber bushings in my opinion.

The joy in a three pedal car lies in banging the gears, regardless of the amount of power under the hood. In their search for appeasing the general populace with a sense of refinement, some of this spirit was lost in the 3rd gen 3. I already had the shift plate and weighted knob, but felt that there was still a little something missing. When autocrossing, every second counts, and I felt that searching for the gear at times was taking a bit longer than it should. For such a simple and quick install, these bushings add a lot of bang for the buck. Shifting is much more precise and it is much easier to find the gates under load. This also allows for more precise downshifts when attacking corners on back roads. I'd recommend this modification highly to any spirited driver or racer.

Pros: does what the product sets out to do, cheap, easy installation

cons: it may be a bit placebo-like in its effects

I installed in combination with the short shift kit and the shift knob. Overall I have found a significant improvement to the shifting in my car.

I wish I had of played with the stock installation a little bit more so I could compare the effects this has to the stock bushings, but I do think that they help tighten up the shifting experience which improves our car.

Overall easy to swap out and improve something you touch on every single drive in your car.

I did not notice any real sort of difference after installing these. Maybe just a very slight improvement in stiffness. However, I had already done the short shift plate so maybe you'd notice more of a difference if you haven't done that. For the money, it's a fine mod to do and you get a sense of how your center console goes together. It'll also help down the line because you won't have to worry about rubber bushings wearing out as the ones in this kit are aluminum. Go ahead and get these with your short shifter kit but standalone, these don't do much on a car where the bushings aren't worn out.

Big fan of the bushings. Easy enough to install and while the change in feeling of shifting was subtle it was also immediately noticeable. The stock shifter is already excellent, but the bushings make gear selection feel a lot more solid. Definitely worth it.

Just installed these on my 2018 Mazda 3, and as the others have pointed out, the feeling is barely noticeable at first, but you'll know where your time and money went within a few miles of shifting. These bushings take the already solid feel of the Mazda 3's shifter to the next level!

Got bushing installed today and first impression (not driving) is not much but once I started driving I could really feel the difference. Feels like how it should feel. No more slop and play between or reaching for gears. Over all satisfied with this product and would recommend this to a friend. Thanks corksport for what you do.

I installed these on my 2017 Mazda3 GT Sport a few weeks after installing the Short Shift Plate. See my review there. Get both. The shifting is way better than stock and I'm very glad I installed the bushings as well as the Shift Plate. Installation was not effortless but was well worth it. The instructions are not accurate for a 2017. The console does not dismantle as described and the shifter does not remove as described, at the least. If you are handy with mechanics, it just takes some figuring. Not giving top marks due to the instructions but I'm glad I installed these.

Wasn't really aware of the design until I went hands on and realized how these play into the actual shifter. Took about 10 minutes to install (pull off some interior trim, take off some nuts and replace the old rubber/metal combo with this metal/metal set. Both just tighten down the shifter plate assembly (nothing to do with the knob) so you won't notice any difference unless you were missing the nuts to begin with. Looking back, it was a waste for me to purchase it but it helped me understand more about the shifter assembly/my vehicle.
