Above is the graph from three dyno runs. Below is the state of the car at each dyno test.
- 1. Mazdaspeed exhaust (which was designed for the 1.8L engine) and KL-ZE cold ECU.
- 2. Mazdaspeed exhaust (which was designed for the 1.8L engine) and KL-ZE warm ECU.
- 3. KL-ZE ECU warm, with Mazdaspeed exhaust removed.
We still feel the car is running about 5-10 HP too low considering the complete exhaust system. The Mazdaspeed exhaust is a bit more restrictive on the larger 2.5L engine. However it is still far less restrictive than the factory exhaust.
