Description
CorkSport Big Brake calipers provide the ultimate in stopping power for your Mazda. Crafted from extremely lightweight billet aluminum, the CorkSport calipers use an opposed-piston design that is fixed to provide greatly improved pad wear, and caliper rigidity over the OEM design. At just over 7 lbs, the aluminum CorkSport Big Brake Kit shaves almost 8 lbs of unsprung weight off each corner of your Mazda, all while adding more stopping power and a much better pedal feel. Available in 3 anodized colors, this brake system includes everything you need to easily upgrade your stock braking system and includes: High strength steel brackets, calipers, stainless steel braided front brake lines, brake pads, and all necessary hardware. Just install and go, no searching for extra parts or ordering additional items. Fits 2004-2013 Mazda 3 and href="https://corksport.com/mazdaspeed-3/" alt="Mazdaspeed 3 performance parts"> Mazdaspeed 3 2007-2013 with the use of OEM sized Mazdaspeed 3 rotors.
With aluminum pistons, and dual high-temperature O-rings instead of fragile dust boots, the CorkSport Big Brake Calipers are perfect for daily driving, spirited runs in the mountains or track day fun.
The CorkSport Advantage:
Note: Track use and/or extreme heat can fade the anodization resulting in a silver/gold finish. This does not affect performance of the brake kit.

To reply to Dennis, there are many companies that sell paint for your calipers to match the color of whatever ones you decide to get. If you go with a good product (aka not the cheapest paint on the shelf) that will help with rust on your calipers. and the reason your brakes are squealing is because you most likely have semi metallic brake pads which will squeal.

Nice product! Will you make a kit for the MS6? CorkSport Reply:We are looking into making a kit for the MS6.

Will these fit on only the mazda 3 or will they work on the newer mazda 6? 2014? CorkSport Reply:The kit is only for the Mazda 3/Mazdaspeed 3 for now.

Does CorkSport intend to do any comparitive brake analysis between these and stock? I would love to see if they stop shorter than stock and by how much. Thanks for continuing to deliver great parts for our beloved platform!

Will these fit with the stock Mazda 3 16" rims? CorkSport Reply:Print off the template at the link below and try it in one of your wheels. http://www.corksport.com/support/instructions/Mazdaspeed3%20Brake%20Template.pdf

Will these also work with the stop tech rotors you guys sell? CorkSport Reply: They will work great with the Stoptech Rotors.

Will Corksport even consider offering a rear caliper upgrade over stock? I understand that most of the braking is front biased, but I would like to have a matching set of calipers even if the rear set is only a stock replacement. I "hate" the stock brakes on my 2006 mazda 3 hatchback. They build up with a rust residue everytime it rains! I made a mistake and replaced them with the best rotors and pads that Autozone had to offer. Needless to say... don't waste your time or money on the autozone parts.... "THEY ARE TOTAL CRAP!!!"(did I mention the embarrassing god awful squeal each time the brakes get wet?) I should have spent the extra money on the cross drilled rotors and Hawk pads even though I didn't want to put nice rotors on the rusty stock calipers.

My car only has 4600 miles on it, do you still recommend resurfaced or new rotors? CorkSport Reply: Yes we do, this is needed to bed the new pads.
John
So I understand the car is front biased, but doesn't the car look funny with really nice calipers on the front and stock calipers on the back? Especially if I bought them in red. CorkSport Reply:You can always paint your rear calipers red....
